Anno
Very nice medieval soundtrack
interesting concept with the building mechanic based on "zone". did not maintain my attention.
Amazing
I've been enjoying City Tales: Medieval Era and already spent enough time with it to build a town of over 600 inhabitants. The art style, atmosphere and companion system are great, and overall I'm having a good time. However, one design choice feels frustrating: the lack of a regular taxation system or another stable source of income. At the moment, most of my income comes from constructing or upgrading districts and buildings. This creates a progression loop where money is rewarded for development rather than generated by a functioning town economy. As the town grows, this can lead to a situation where: * House upgrades require advanced public buildings. * Public building upgrades require money. * Money often comes from further construction and upgrades. This can sometimes feel like a circular dependency rather than a natural economic progression. I would love to see taxes, periodic income from population, or another sustainable economic mechanic added in the future. It would make larger settlements feel more self-sufficient and would give players additional strategic choices. Despite this criticism, I'm enjoying the game and look forward to future updates.
