Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Amazin game, one of the best JRPGs ever made.

Really enjoying my time with this Port. The updated translations sent me for a loop early on. Having the animated cutscenes worked in is a nice touch and the auto battle mechaninc is great for farming some tradables in 65,000,000 BC.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 17: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.56/day in the week to Aug 4 → 5.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The best JRPG ever - nay, the best game ever. Its perfection shines even more as time is devoured. Story, characters, art, pacing, battle system: all top-tier. Everyone should at least try Chrono Trigger.
Occasional crashes, but this is an all-timer. Some of it might be nostalgia speaking, but this game still slaps.
First off let me say this is my favorite SNES game . this game is amazing and i love playing it. i will say my main gripe is that the extra cutscenes that where brought over from the PS1 version don't play at all which is frustrating but not the end of the world imo. granted it does crash a lil which is an easy fix thru the nividia control panel which i found if u set the max frame rate down to 60 fps the power management to prefer maximum performance and vertical sync to fast it deff runs alot better and crashes a lot less yeah these are things that should of been fixed when brought to steam considering how old this game is. I deff recomend this game if you enjoy RPGs especially retro RPGS
Although the port itself is pretty bad (more on that later), the game is still a masterpiece for its time. Sure, by today’s standards you can find better RPGs, but it’s still a very enjoyable experience. My only real issue was the combat, which gets repetitive and too easy, especially if you grind a bit to unlock all the Techs. As for the port, there’s a lot of judder when moving diagonally (something introduced in the last update), so you’ll either need to mod it or roll back to an earlier version. They also tried to recreate the magic of a CRT with the so-called “HD textures” but it mostly just looks like a smoothing filter, which in my opinion makes the visuals even worse. If you do want to play this version, I’d recommend using Pixel Demaster along with a CRT shader instead. Also, if you use a keyboard with QMK/VIA/Vial, you might need to disable the virtual joystick input it creates. For some reason the game kept detecting it and made my character constantly move upward. Honestly, I’d suggest just emulating the game with a CRT shader, it’s much easier and looks better overall. And in case you’re wondering, this version does not include the extra content from the NDS release.
Finally completed Chrono trigger for the first time, this game has aged really well and nothing about it feels outdated the pixel art is just timeless, banger soundtrack, gameplay is smooth and I never felt the need to install any mods The game isn't really challenging but at the same it's not braindead where you throw random bs and expect it to work and it respects your time, at no point in the game will you ever feel the need to grind for your party. The story is simple but is executed very well with great pacing, the characters are also simple but still charming and likeable although for such a well regarded JRPG, I still expected a more impactful story it's not bad by any means just not the type I'd really think about again Overall a great package to pickup anytime and it only takes about 20ish hours to beat
I was in disbelief thinking how it was possible a game this amazing was released in 1995 until I saw the credits and remembered who the masterminds were that collaborated to make this timeless classic.
