Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.56/day in the week to Aug 4 → 5.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
how would you write a review for Mario 64? For Ocarina of Time? For Coca-Cola? For DOOM? CHRONO TRIGGER is that type of game, where most games are derivative of it. That being said u gotta be willing to deal with some old game nonsense(TM) if playing in the modern age
Fun Game. Crashes a lot, but there is a bookmark function that kicks in that is like a quick save of when you go through doors and ♥♥♥♥. It is kind of annoying, but this is an easy way for me to play on a couch and also on my steamdeck. Had this game on SNES, DS, PS1...Vita?? who knows. So fun, just the crashing is annoying

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 17: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I wish i could review this product for the game i remember it being, but it crashes every 10 minutes and is unplayable. I've tried disabling overlays and everything a quick google search suggested, but i can't get it to work. I never got past the transportation in the marketplace at the start of the game. I'm requesting a refund =( ETA steam refused to refund the game because it was outside the window and i waited too long to play it. so despite playing for 35 minutes total (most of which was spent restarting my computer and the game after crashes), steam stands by their decision to sell me a brick. this is the last purchase i will make on steam.
I would love for this to just emulate the original SNES version with a good CRT upscaler like Sonic Mania's. Sadly it is not so. But it's still a pretty decent release. Pros: * STORY! Still the best RPG ever made. * Music and sounds are pretty accurate. * Original art style is maintained (not a "pixel remaster"). * Fills widescreen monitors while maintaining correct aspect ratio. * Controller and keyboard support with customizable binds. * Achievements for seeing each possible ending. Some have complained about not getting easy achievements as you progress through the game, but I think endings are the perfect use for them. * Anime cutscenes from the PlayStation/DS release. Cons: * Translation is not as good as the SNES version. * No way to get a true classic look: -- "Original" graphics mode is just nearest neighbor stretching. Very blocky at high resolutions. -- "Enhanced" mode is just a mediocre upscaler applied to all sprite tiles. -- Fonts and UI elements are scaled differently from game graphics. Kinda screams "mobile port". -- Can't disable character health bars, which occasionally overlap damage numbers. -- Can't disable the anime cutscenes. They're cool, but also redundant and a bit jarring. * Main menu is less intuitive, usually taking a few more presses to get things done. Worst offender is swapping characters in your party. (It's not awful, just worse than SNES.) * Automatic combat is mapped to one of the game's main control buttons. I don't want this feature, but sometimes I press it by accident when I'm trying to swap top/bottom UI. The best way to play Chrono Trigger is on a real SNES or a good clone system. The best way to play it on PC is probably SNES9X. But this is not a bad release, and Chrono Trigger is a perfect RPG no matter how you play it.
A timeless classic, unforgettable plot and characters and multiple endings with varying details. I just played and finished it for the first time... better late than never, I guess xD

Literally my favorite game of all time. I played it for the first time abotu 25 years ago and to this day no other game has managed to match or beat the emotional peaks of this story. It is a genre-defining visionary piece of media, truly the apex of its kind.
