Chorus

When it comes to space ship games, Chorus checks all of the boxes for me. The combat is interesting, the plot unique, and the characters memorable. The only complaint I have is I wish there were more upgrade options. The game is still solid though.

Chorus is a fun space shooter. In terms of visuals it looks great. You can always look in any direction into the deep reaches of space, and see something to look at. There are a good variety of locations, and overall enemy design is solid. In terms of gameplay it is fun. The abilities/rites you get are super cool, and while doing everything in the game can get repetitive, I wouldn't ever call it boring. The sounds of the gun, the ship and everything is top notch. A lot of people say the story is abysmal, it really isn't. It simply is not anything you haven't seen or contemplated before. Its not like it lacks any depth, but there are not any insane concepts you will have to contemplate. There is themes of loss, regret, etc in a wrapping you have seen before: You are traitor to the empire, fight back. It also tries to deal with some overarching themes that I think are nice and doesn't fail to explore a bit. The execution though can sometimes go from interesting to cheesy lol. The game is probably a 4 foot deep pool. No one is gonna drown in the lore and be heart broken by the game, but its fun little swim. Overall I recommend the game even at full price. It took like 16 hours to do every bit of side quests(which you have "discover" using the map to appear in the log) and main missions. I took my time too. $25 ain't bad for this. It also constantly ends up in bundles like Fanatical and Humble Womans bundle so you can get it for even cheaper if you want.

I love aerial combat games. And this is a really great one.

Severely underrated game. I slept on this for far too long. A great story, epic battles and some of the best dogfighting I've ever seen in a game. Great graphics, good performance and a really solid story line with an ending that I'll remember. a solid 8/10 for me.
