your choices actually really matter. and it is very well written and thought through! edit: okay ... it is hard to succeed in this game, i must say. basically i made two attempts: at the first one i failed. (i will avoid spoilers here) at the second one i was like .... sure. i am a giant flying highly magical capable turtle who is with his soulmate that i formerly created because of my more then masterly skill in the art of .. (i wont say because of spoilers). and the kingdom was overrun by the enemy, while we roamed the world freely. we were simply way too powerful to be bothered by those morons waging wars. nice ending (i am serious). not what i had planned, i must admit. but a good one nonetheless. the possibilities branch like really a lot. however, why would that ***** swine herder sell me its herd for a mere 100 gold coins? i mean why? sure the swine would die anyway, but he thought they would not. and he was willing to die if his herd got killed. a hundred gold? that was sloppy. he was in for all or nothing. so 5 gold for a roasted turkey leg and 100 gold for a large herd of pigs. too large to fit in one of the many shelters. splitting up was not an option? 100 gold or whatever the currency was was practically nothing. like everybody was running around with a turkey leg that costs 5 gold? that game is branching a lot. and it is a really good one. but at times it is just sloppy. i would still very much recommend you buy it, if you like these kind of games.

THE choice of games-game. Seriously, there is no other game to this label with this high amout of impactful choices. Exept for a few cosmetic ones and necessary for the story, no choice here is superflous and has imidiatly impact and consequences. There are a lot of different paths to take, with different outcomes depending on the choices in the path. A few events alwyas happen, but how they turn out can be hugley different dependig on choices. The game is rather short, with one playthrough rarley longer than an hour, but because of the many choices, the replayvalue is imense. I play twenty times before it started to get repetiv. The story itself has decent gray and gray morality, with no faction beeing completly evil and every person having realistic and complex motivations. Even they can change depending on the playthrough. Recommend it immensly, price absolutly justified.
I love this game.
Good Game
I actually liked this one best of the three Kevin Gold ones, and he's pretty much the best Choice of Games writer as it is

Its quite a fun and charming game with a variety of choices and paths to explore. If you are looking for fantasy game with elements of politics and consequences, I would recommend this.
The characters are vibrant and the branching paths are really detailed, which I've come to expect from this author. This does mean that an individual playthrough is a bit short, but replayability is this games strong suite anyway. Funny, fantastical, and well worth a try.
