I liked it, but I can see how a lot of people wouldn't. It has a very specific vibe to it. Guitar hero with shovel knights music is the best way to describe it.

Nice songs, audio and visuals are pretty well synced. Recommend :)
the controls are easy to get used to n its fun to play when ur bored. the music makes me feel like ive been cast into an 8 bit film. AND OH GOD the way plingonberries resurrects my soul...MMM. please get it.
It's like Guitar Hero, except Through the Fire and the Flames isn't the only good song. If you're not playing with your keyboard like a guitar, you're not doing it right. Amazingly fun!
Gameplay is just like any other guitar rhythm games, fret the note by pressing the button then strum. I haven't played any rhythm games that simulate guitars so I play on tap mode, which doesn't require you to strum. A rhythm game controller might be required, I don't have one. Timing Window is too hard for me and I don't understand it. You can only hit notes, there are no: Perfects, Greats, etc. I would only recommend this game to people who played rhythm games before.
This is honestly so close to being the best Guitar Hero clone out there, only because of the accurate timings for the notes. In Clone Hero, you can be soooo late and hit the note, while here it requires a lot more skill. Its soundtrack is amazing as well. I thoroughly enjoy the game and it feels very rewarding. As opposed to other rhythm games it might be a bit lackluster in terms of features, but the engine works well and the community has some great songs created. The community is somewhat dead, but it is still fun to play.
Install joy2key and set up a guitar hero guitar for the most fun. Great setlist. The weekly leaderboard does not seem to update at this time.
