For a free vr shooter this is the best really smooth gun mechanics and for a free game has a ton of content 13 maps with a shooting range enemys with deathmatch and a horde mode overall its a must try for vr players I used my htc vive and it works great.

Chambered is a free to play VR FPS game. It worked on my HTC Vive and Index system, looked ok, sounded ok, played ok. This is a single player game only. Has 6 steam achievements. Has in-game tutorial and gun range. About 3 hours of content. Has 13 guns to unlock and shoot and 13 replayable single player matches to fight through with 140+ weapon attachments and skins to earn. Try this, if you like FPS games.

After just a few minutes you can feel how dated this is. Awkward controls like movement being dependent on your controller positioning, and there's a strange drift on Rift S as well. Enemy AI either walks out into open areas for you to shoot them like lemmings, or mag dumps you across the map with precision aim just a second after popping out of cover. I really dislike the gunplay overall. Why bother holding rifles properly when you can one hand a rifle with little to no recoil.

Id rate this game about 4/5. Gameplay is fun and each match lasts a good 5-10 mins. Its more of a run and gun style game, and theres a good variety of levels with the level design being based around a training simulator so the maps are not visually anything to shout about - although the layouts are decent. The AI are also "decent" and the unlocks keep the replayability to a higher level. The campaign takes about 1.5 hours (according to my playtime) and the ending is pretty neat. Iv already achieved top rank though and am about 25% through the unlocks. Reason im rating 4/5 is there are some minor polishes this game needs - such as the ability to make custom matches, or change the grind (i.e. have the player select if they want to grind for hours for unlocks - i think you unlock things way too fast in this game which dumbs down the sense of achievement. That being said, its a good game that you can use to practice your shooting skills against AI in a casual arcade setting before going into something more serious. Pricing is good for the amount of playtime/content and reflects that it is a small dev "team", but its definately a product to be proud of releasing and worth a buy. Im mainly posting this review to support VR Devs like this who dont rush to release VR titles early, and actually get the game to a higher standard before releasing.

Das Spiel ist an sich echt nicht schlecht gemacht und spielt sich wie ein Team-Deathmatch gegen Bots. Hat leider keinen Mehrspielermodus obwohl das Game sich dafür ja anbietet. Es gibt eine Vielzahl an verschiedenen Waffen und man kann sie mit Accessoires wie verschiedene Zielfernrohre, Griffe oder ähnlichem ausrüstem. Jede Waffe hat auch ein paar Skins die teilweise schon was hermachen. Muss alles nach und nach freigeschaltet werden durch bestimmte Objectives die man für jede Waffe erfüllen kann. Das Gunplay gefällt mir persönlich sehr gut. Normalerweise bevorzuge ich bei 2-händigen Waffen die Möglichkeit die zweite Hand mit der Waffe zu "koppeln"(siehe zb Dead Effect 2), da man besser zielen kann, ist hier aber leider nicht möglich. Wenn man die zweite Hand zur Waffe führt, greift die Hand aber die Waffe und die Genauigkeit erhöht sich. Das manuelle nachladen gefiel mir sehr gut und die vielen Optionen zu den Waffen, weswegen es hierbei definitiv einen Daumen nach oben gibt. Bei der Fortbewegung/Locomotion hätte ich mir mehr Optionen gewünscht. Freie Fortbewegung ist möglich aber wegen dem Touchpad-Only sehr empfindlich. Gewöhnungsbedürftig. Teleportation kommt für mich solange es eine andere Möglichkeit gibt nicht in Frage. Etwas Story ist auch vorhanden aber dazu werde ich nicht ganz so viel spoilern. Im Endeffekt wählt man aber die Missionen im Hauptraum aus und spielt sie nach und nach. Das Leveldesign bietet viel Abwechslung wobei eher auf eine spartanische Optik gesetzt wurde. Gefiel mir recht gut. Die KI ist recht schlecht und NPCs agieren teilweise echt idiotisch. Schießen dafür aber recht zielsicher weswegen die Nutzung der Deckungen wichtig ist. Wenn man alle Waffenteile freischalten möchte braucht man dafür ca. 3-4h und hat dann auch alle Missionen ca. 2-3 mal gespielt. Preis von 7,99€ ist daher in Ordnung finde ich.
