Chains of Freedom

Nice one time game. It is just middle one. Good graphic style, movement, quality shots, aims, flanks etc. But that's all. Nothing super interesting, linear movement, predictable story, heroes upgrade system suppose to be interesting, but there is no huge variety of it. No stealth, no other options to kill enemies, no bases, no leveling, no interesting scavenging. You lose ammo - you lose game, as everything "exact", you have exact amount of resources that can be find on the map. And huge minus as for UA company - you don't have Ukrainian localization.

Been waiting to play something akin to X-Com and Gears Tactics. This scratched that itch and had some wild enemies. The story isn't anything special, but the characters are also kinda eh. The Bio Crystal system is nice and the power creep is good. Overall I enjoyed my time with it and hope it does well enough to warrant a sequel or a different, but same style game from the devs. A solid 8/10

On high difficulty the game truly shines. Lots of options for success, strong enemy AI, brilliant upgrade options. I love strategy games and this one truly surprised me.

Short, and super linear, but if you like turn based tactical games, it's about 25 hours of fun. They should take the engine/world and make a more open world or survival game. The game mechanics, graphics, atmosphere are good, but wasted on such a short and linear game. I did not encounter a single bug.

不太好玩，游戏机制设计的不太合理，敌人的输出和你的输出不平衡，资源少，弹药少，根本耐不住敌人的攻击。敌人越打越多，每个回合下来，比上班都还累。点数设计的也不太合理，换弹药也要算，换武器也要算。步行几步就没有点数，玩到第4章，弹药基本没有了，玩个几把

Hervorragendes Taktikspiel. Die Karten sind etwas unübersichtlich, aber das Kampfsystem ist toll und es wird viiiel gekämpft :-) Eben zu Ende gespielt..... der Kauf hat sich gelohnt ! Um das Herumirren auf den unübersichtlichen Karten etwas zu reduzieren hätte ich mir gerne eine Map-Funktion gewünscht. Das ist aber wirklich der einzige Kritikpunkt. Meine Empfehlung = Kaufen + genießen :-)

It is a nice game for those who like this type. The story is somewhat predictable. I am not sure on the replay ability. But do not expect too much, because the game constantly remind you that the enemies are stronger than you.

Despite being short it was quite an effort to finish it. Confusing maps which mainly seemed an excuse to re-use areas. Uninspiring story, acting and characters. Very linear. No strategic layer. Tedious looting. Minimal customization of skills (no xp and the existing system is not very deep). I will recommend it as the designers clearly had some good ideas, but need to build a better game around the interesting combat engine.

Estoy rejugándolo después de un tiempo tras acabarlo y he de decir que en esta segunda ocasión lo estoy disfrutando más que la primera. No es un juego que sobresalga ni gráficamente, ni en su banda sonora o historia, de hecho los diálogos son en inglés, aunque con subtitulos en español.. pese a ello, si te gustan los juegos por turnos de cubrirse, disparar, mover a un compañero, sanar y volver a disparar.. por su precio lo encuentro muy recomendable. Preparate para montar emboscadas, buscar objetos para fabricar armas y disfrfutar!
