Take up your sword, channel your magic or board your Mech. Chained Echoes is a 16-bit style RPG set in a fantasy world where dragons are as common as piloted mechanical suits.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.71/day in the week to Sep 14 → 2.67/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

ABSOLUTE CINEMA!!!!
Einziges Problem... du wirst zukünftige JRPGs an diesen Standarts messen.

Very good Game, enjoyed every second of it, even when I was lost and didnt find the way (i struggled way too long on Rockbottom). 10/10
I like it! Great classic-style RPG, with new ideas, new tricks, and new stories! If you like classic RPG games from the 90's or so, you'll definitely appreciate this game.
Einfach gut!
体量不大,佳作
This game is a love letter to the SNES era JRPGs with modern comodities, the story is great with lots of twists and surprises, it is not very long if you are not aiming at getting all the archievement like I did, I only complete games I love and this is one of them. !00% recomended Story - 10/10 Music - 9/10 (its good but not epic good) Pixel art (9/10) (its great with minimal problems here and there) Dungeon/puzzle design 10/10 (anot too challenging but challenging enough) TL;DR - A great game if you are in the mood for a retro experience with modern day comodities.
TL;DR: Yes, buy it.
Tried writing something shorter. Couldn't. This game moves smoother than a politician dodging accountability. The maps? Gorgeous. The music? Like someone snuck into your nostalgia vault and started playing your childhood on a harp. It’s got that JRPG charm—goofy jokes, magical nonsense—and then BAM! It goes darker than your uncle’s browser history. The DLC? I thought it was gonna be a cute little side dish, and instead it served me a full-course meal with a surprise colonoscopy. No warning, no lube or margarine as a subsitute, just sidequests and backtracking that made me question my life choices. And I loved it. Like Stockholm Syndrome, but with turn-based combat. Crystals. Freakin’ crystals. Farming them felt like licking sandpaper for loot. But the DLC fixed that with drops that didn’t make me want to punch a wall at least on the DLC. Dunno if it applies on the main story, but whatever. Find out yourself, I already did my time. And the references? Oh, they’re not subtle. They’re like your drunk uncle at a wedding yelling, “I WAS THERE WHEN CHRONO TRIGGER DROPPED!” Glenn’s got Cloud’s emo guilt trip, that other dude's betrayal is obviously Delita, and the whirlwind slash? Straight outta 1995. It’s not pretending to be original—it’s proudly wearing its influences like a badge made of nostalgia and cocaine. You don’t grind EXP here, must've read that on a thousand other reviews. But if you want the juicy stuff, you’ll be chasing orbs and drops like a raccoon in a jewelry store. And the game actually rewards you for playing it. Imagine that! A game that respects your time and effort. It’s like finding a hooker that gives you a discount for being polite! You explore, you chain achievements, and suddenly you’re addicted. It’s the kind of loop that AAA studios still haven’t figured out because they’re too busy selling cosmetic crap for $20. And yeah, you’ll need a guide. Because the dev—Matthias Linda—decided to sprinkle in his own little “F*** you” moments. Hidden paths, treasures that require a PhD in pixel hunting, and puzzles that make you feel like you’re being hazed by a Mensa cult. But you know what? He earned that right. One guy made this whole thing. ONE. So if he wants to throw a few middle fingers in the design, I say let him. He’s earned it more than half the industry. Sea of Stars beat this game in popularity and I’m still trying to figure out how. Prettier? Sure. But story-wise? It’s like comparing Shakespeare to a TikTok thirst trap. Chained Echoes is the real deal. Buy it. Buy the DLC. Buy Matthias Linda a coffee, give him a good ol' grip ‘n rip. He's an artist.
