Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 22 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It seems cool but it completely looses all the great aspects of the original.

It's a classic...recharged
Very addicting game
Centipede Recharged is a great nod to the original. It is just as fun with a lot more polish and effects. I am really enjoying trying to best my last best score. I loved the original and I love this one too. Currently sitting at 110th worldwide!
Ein kurzweiliges Spiel für zwischendurch, dass den Klassiker aus 1981 deutlich verbessert.
yeah its pretty good, game's fun and enjoyable but the only thing i would have wanted is a CLASSIC CLASSIC mode, like they have a classic mode, but not the arcade original. so like the same game but diffrent graphics and sprites and sounds yk, but yeah a arcade port would have been cool 8/10
Wife still hates how good I am at this lol.
Centipede: Recharged is a modern revival of the beloved 1981 arcade classic, developed by Adamvision Studios and SneakyBox and published by Atari. This version stays faithful to the original's core gameplay while incorporating fresh elements and visual upgrades that breathe new life into the timeless shooter. Players take control of a small shooter at the bottom of the screen, tasked with eliminating a descending centipede made up of segments that weave through a field of mushrooms. The core mechanics remain intact, preserving that iconic tension of dodging and shooting while strategically navigating obstacles. Where Centipede: Recharged truly shines is in its subtle yet impactful enhancements. One of the most notable additions is the introduction of power-ups dropped by enemy spiders. These power-ups offer abilities like explosive bullets, spread shots, and a powerful railgun, injecting variety and depth into the classic gameplay loop. This encourages players to not only focus on survival but also on how to maximize these temporary boosts to rack up higher scores and clear waves more efficiently. The power-ups complement the fast-paced action and bring a strategic layer that was absent in the original. Beyond the core arcade mode, Centipede: Recharged offers a series of over 30 challenges designed to test player skill and offer something beyond endless survival. These challenges range from defeating a set number of centipedes within a time limit to using specific weapons or tactics to clear enemies. This structured progression provides a sense of accomplishment and variety, breaking up the potential monotony of the classic arcade mode. However, some players and critics have noted that while these challenges add welcome diversity, the overall amount of content could feel limited over time, and additional modes or missions would help sustain long-term engagement. Visually, Centipede: Recharged departs from the pixelated simplicity of the original, opting instead for a vibrant neon aesthetic that evokes a futuristic, almost cyberpunk vibe. The mushrooms, centipedes, and other critters glow with colorful outlines, creating a dynamic and eye-catching environment that enhances the gameplay without overshadowing it. This fresh visual style manages to strike a balance between nostalgia and modern design, appealing both to longtime fans and newcomers. The electronic soundtrack, composed by Megan McDuffee, perfectly complements this visual overhaul, heightening the intensity and pace of the gameplay with energetic beats that keep players engaged. The game also supports local cooperative play, allowing two players to team up and take on the challenges side-by-side. This feature adds a social dimension to the experience, making it an excellent choice for casual gaming sessions with friends or family. On top of that, global leaderboards provide a competitive outlet for players seeking to measure their skills against others worldwide, fostering a community spirit and replayability through score chasing. While Centipede: Recharged generally delivers a polished and enjoyable arcade experience, it is not without its flaws. Some users have encountered technical issues on certain platforms, including problems with game loading or crashes that require troubleshooting, such as reinstalling or deleting save files. These hiccups can detract from the overall experience, especially for those eager to jump into quick sessions. Nevertheless, these issues seem limited to specific configurations and do not undermine the game's core appeal. In summary, Centipede: Recharged stands as a respectful and engaging modernization of a classic arcade game. It successfully preserves the original’s addictive gameplay while introducing thoughtful enhancements in power-ups, visual design, and additional challenges. Although it might not radically reinvent the genre, it offers a compelling package for both nostalgic players and newcomers seeking a fast-paced, skill-based shooter. Its cooperative mode and leaderboards add social and competitive dimensions that increase its appeal. Overall, it is a well-crafted homage that manages to balance the old and the new with style and fun. Rating: 8/10
