One of my favorite games of all time recharged in such a way that feels new yet Retro all while keeping the mechanics of a great game
this game has a lot of variations you can play. Retro recharged whatever you prefer, donkey punch, Swedish helicopter, Texas chili bowl, this pronoun got it.
It's Centipede, and Centipede is good, i think we all know that but what does really the recharged version brings? Well you have the power-ups, like different weapon types or changing the enviroment a bit, it has it's own...just god-AWFUL artstyle i hate it but it's playable and looks somewhat ,,decent''. The controls are Centipede i cannot describe it with any other word and we also have online leaderboards yup very revolutionary but cool i guess? Anyways yeah good game but don't buy it at full price

The old arcade classic Centipede but with a whole bunch of modern twists and the like. I never cared for the game play but I got this as part of a bundle. It plays ok though with some caveats: On Linux, mouse support is broken. I can't move the shooter past like half the screen. Controllers work fine. I also don't like multiplayer achievements, it tends to make the ribbon impossible to get at some point. I wish I could rate this 'mixed' but if you're a fan of Centipede, youll probably enjoy this one.
Of the 3 Atari Recharged games I've played, this one's definitely the hardest and I could see myself putting in a lot of time to try to hit a high score. Very stylish and fun, would highly recommend to anybody who enjoys Centipede or arcadey shooting games in general. There are 3 arcade modes (one with powerups and one life, one with powerups and 3 lives, and one with no powerups and 3 lives) to chase high scores in, as well as missions with tight objectives that are geared toward more casual players (though these also have high score leaderboards!) Would absolutely recommend this on a sale, and maybe at full price if you're REALLY into Centipede.
Amazing remake of an arcade classic. Makes for great local co-op. Highly recommend playing it with a mouse, since it allows much faster movement. Also a plus... You don't get pinched by a trackball.

I have enjoyed this Recharged version of Centipede much more than I expected. The power-ups and updated graphics help make for a fun and perfectionist arcade experience. My only complaint is the slowdown that occurs when using one of the power-ups (on Steamdeck).
