Sending this to library. Developer was active in March and went silent. Enjoyed game play for a while though. Is this a clicker game? Sure, auto clicker is not something is needed to progress. Click half an hour and close :) Is it idle? Yea sure, i get a lot of money while idling with 4 trains and maxed out engineers. Game-play is broken. Half of the skills are dead and other half are breaking economics. Ascending? Never saw that screen :D I never had to, as i wasn't stuck. Game just became boring to me. Would play again? Probably if more stuff added, but i doubt that will happen. In the end I don't think it's a bad game. 2$ for 10-20 hours of train traversing screen and thematic background noises :)
Don't buy. Unfulfilled promises from the dev. The game has been abandoned.
Honestly the games passes the time however i wouldn't consider it an idle game. The main reason I say its not an idle game is the level up mechanics, once you get all the experience to level up the experience stops making it no longer idle since you cant progress them without active playing. I'm not the biggest fan of idle games without achievements since there is no real reason to advance or put major hours into into it.
Would highly recommend for anyone that likes idle games. Train clicker is a pretty chill and charming grind towards building your train. It seems to be a port from a mobile game and the developer seems to be actively updating it to be more suited for PC. The recent talents update gave reason to finish the level sequence and gain prestige and the skins give the long term purpose of building your train to your desired aesthetic! I'd also say it is appropriately priced! I'm hoping in the future that you could spend gems in the game (which you get for free) on unlocking skin cards and it would be cool to see a directory of all possible skins!
F2P mechanics in a paid game. upgrading stuff doesent just take money but time aswell so its like any f2p
Pretty bad, I refunded it. No content what so ever
This game is a lot deeper than most give it credit. Play for at least an hour or two before judging. Worth the $.
Very good game is fun to play.
