Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 22 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
Classic Atari Centipede remake that is ok. Plays well just like the original. Gameplay is simple and become repetitive after a while though. New visual effects are a nice touch, however possibility to change theme like in Pac-Man CE would be nice. Two modes to play - arcade and challenge. Sadly, game is missing on some extra modes which would make it more interesting. Also there's no CRT like screen effects like scanlines and such. Music is ok, but nothing amazing. Overall ok but nothing more than that.
Centipede: Recharged is a reimagination of the original arcade game. The game is widened for 16:9 displays but the original game used a CRT in portrait orientation. This game offers many new patterns of enemies which makes for some change compared to the simplistic original. The game is more or less a top down class shooter. The game is definitely a retro class title. I played this on my Lenovo 14 with UHD 630 graphics.

This game is extremely addictive, and I'm 25 hours in. You can play co-op and save each other when you die by getting a heart power-up. Other power-ups include spread shot, explosive shots, bullet shield, laser, etc. Centipedes come down from the top going side to side and leave behind mushrooms as you shoot their segments. Scorpions come from the sides and make the mushrooms poisonous, which will make centipedes come straight down at you if they touch one. Fleas will come down fast from the top dropping mushrooms as they fall, and spiders will come from the sides and give you power-ups when they die. Our #10 in the world co-op gameplay where we talk about all of this is below. https://youtu.be/OM1sgsrEArc
Great modernisation of the Atari classic - Centipede. Good soundtrack, very addictive gameplay - well worth it on sale! Very morish , writing this review at 2am on a work night!
Yet another pew pew game, but it's a pretty pew pew.
I played the original Centipede growing up, but not all that much. It just wasn't one of my favorites as a kid. So when Atari announced the Recharged version, I wasn't nearly as excited as I was for Asteroids or Breakout. Anyhoo... The game is fun, but it can also get ridiculously difficult. Out of the ten Recharged games, this one had some of the most inconsistent difficulty. One moment it's manageable, the next it's complete chaos. The different power-ups are a nice addition, but some of them just plain suck. In fact, I found myself avoiding certain power-ups because they made things worse. I know, I know... that's probably just part of the strange gameplay that is Centipede. I've played through most, if not all, of Atari's Recharged series. If you're curious what I thought of the rest, you can find them on my curator page or in the full Recharged list below. This game is fun on a controller, but it's infinitely a better game with a mouse. I was over 4 hours in when I accidentally started a game with the mouse and holy moly! Did it make the game better than controller? Absofreaking lutely! *Update! The game has lag really bad in spots that are baaaad to have lag. It happened to both my Steam Deck oled, but also my intel 9, NVIDIA 3080 with 32 Ram. If anyone knows how I can fix this? Is it something I am doing? Or a setting I can change? This takes the game from a 4 down to a 2. Still fun, but is disappointing. But on a sale, worth every penny.
Not sure what it is. I have always been interested in Centipede since the initial arcade release back in the day. I have had it on various emulators and control schemes (including purchasing a trackball) but never really got into it. For whatever reason, the combination of mouse control, power ups, and updated graphics in this Recharged release really does it for me. I absolutely love it and play just to play. I don't really enjoy the challenges so much because they typically focus on either an abundance of some power up, or instant loss if XYZ is killed. For me, this takes away from the pure frantic gameplay. I suppose they are good in a training sense to learn to use the various power ups. I am the kind of person who plays only about 5 games. And this is now on that throne.
As far as classic arcade games go, I was never a big fan of Centipede. Something about how shooting every segment of the titular centipede created a mushroom that added clutter to the screen and made centipede movement more erratic just gave me anxiety. I know that's the whole point of the game, but it just never felt particularly fun for me. Having said that, this reboot is exactly how I like to see such classics handled. New features like power-ups go a long way in mitigating the frustration of an increasingly chaotic play area. The adrenaline-pumping music adds to the excitement, and the changing color scheme (in arcade mode) gives a sense of progression and visual variety. I also loved "Challenge" mode, where you are presented with a series of challenges (such as killing a certain amount of a certain type of enemy, or surviving for a set amount of time, or reaching a certain score) that reward a good understanding of the game's mechanics (although, I have to admit, some of them were a bit frustrating). You can also play couch co-op, although I haven't been able to try that out yet. Having gotten all the achievements (except the co-op ones), I feel like I got what I wanted to get out of the game, but there is certainly replayability for those who want to chase high scores (there's an online leaderboard so you can see how you measure up to other players). While Centipede: Recharged certainly pays homage to the original game, its modern mechanics and quality of life additions make it a much more approachable and enjoyable experience. I do think it would have been nice if the original arcade game had been included too, if only for comparison's sake, but what's here is better than I expected.
This version of Centipede is visually appealing and very fun. I bought an arcade stick to play it, I love it and the kids love it! 10/10 fun game everyone can enjoy!
super fun great for a quick game all recharged games are good
