Let me preface this by saying I platinumed this game on my Playstation, I just bought this game again on steam so I could play some community maps. Celeste is one of the best platformers out there by a long shot. In terms of mechanics, its incredibly snappy, responsive, and that's honestly what makes it highly addicting. The controls are incredibly simple for the most part (just jumps, dashes, and grabs), but it lends itself to a lot of complex tech that makes the grind for each level all the more satisfying when you actually beat them. For me, I had constantly doubted myself on my capabilities in this game, so starting off I only planned on getting the A-sides done. But the feeling of witnessing yourself surpass the barriers that are the levels makes you want to try more, push your boundaries, which is definitely reflected in the overall story of the game. That's something else I really like about the game; the story is broad on purpose, so no matter who you are, I think you'll find yourself incredibly immersed. Overall, I don't play many platformers, but this one stands out as a masterpiece. I would recommend anyone pick it up and keep at it. And when the time comes, check out community mod maps, it makes the game even better.
chapter 3 makes me want to hit alt+F4 to my controller also runs amazing on my potato of a computer
