About
Quest of Dungeloria is a short metroidvania with elaborate locations. Forget about linear progression, the entire game world is a puzzle. The melancholy of a dying fantasy kingdom. Hardcore platforming, puzzles, bosses, gear items and a lot of secret places.

Communicate with the characters. Choose your response options. Kill, betray or spare. You are free to do whatever you want in this world.

In the spirit of classic adventure point-and-click games, solving some puzzles requires some item hunting. Talk to NPCs to gain valuable clues and piece together the history of the world.

Active items grant the hero unique abilities, such as double jumping, attacking monsters, seeing hidden walls and more. Quick swap your equipment on the fly to adapt to any situation.

Improve items in your inventory by finding flower pearls, giving you new gameplay options.

Progressively increasing difficulty ensures a properly hardcore experience. Quick reaction is king. No randomization, everything comes down to pure character control and focus.

Reviews
I happen to be a member of a small tight–knit community of developers, and this is a solo developer creation of another member. I haven't participate in the game's development, but I'm still biased, as I was watching this game grow. Since the last time I playtested it, the game got a new coat of paint and I was really surprised by how better it started to look now. It is a very whimsical and lighthearted story, which likes to break the fourth wall quite a lot, making the player (you) a character in this story. Quite an unorthodox metroidvania which happen to take more inspiration from European platformer games (think stuff from older PC like Amiga) rather than the Japanese console ones. There's some technical difficulties happen from time to time, but this review was written right after the game went live on Steam, so some bugs slipped through the cracks from previous playtesting seesions.
A very charming retro-style metroidvania with a great old-school DOS-game vibe. The funny story and weirdly melancholic fantasy atmosphere really pulled me in, and I love how the whole world is basically one big puzzle instead of a linear path. The puzzles and item interactions are clever, and finding all the secret spots is super satisfying. Definitely recommend if you're into nonlinear exploration, adventure-game logic, retro pixel visuals, and a healthy dose of hardcore old-school challenge.
Goty
Очень атмосферная метроидвания. Атмосфера умирающего фэнтези королевства и нелинейный мир хорошо цепляют. Исследовать локации и находить секреты было кайфово
Using this as a note for my bolognese recipe. Don't mind me, don't mind ****ing me, i'm just a clumsy man looking for my notes. Ingredients: ▢ 1 1/2 tbsp olive oil ▢ 2 garlic cloves , minced ▢ 1 onion , finely chopped (brown, yellow or white) ▢ 1 lb / 500g beef mince (ground beef) OR half pork, half beef (Note 1) ▢ 1/2 cup (125 ml) dry red wine (sub water or beef broth/stock) ▢ 2 beef bouillon cubes , crumbled OR granulated beef bouillon (Note 2) ▢ 800g / 28 oz can crushed tomato (or tomato passata) ▢ 2 tbsp tomato paste ▢ 2 tsp white sugar , if needed (Note 3) ▢ 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce ▢ 2 dried bay leaves ▢ 2 sprigs fresh thyme (or 1/2 tsp dried thyme or oregano) ▢ 3/4 tsp cooking salt (kosher salt) ▢ 1/2 tsp black pepper
这款游戏的美术很漂亮。
A pretty decent little game to scratch that indie itch. One will have to look past a few rough edges to see the soul and dedication that went into it. It's not a market-tailored "product" but a salt of the earth creation that makes its way to touch your heart and leave a warm, unordinary feel of "whoa" and a little smile. Worth every penny.
One of the best arcade games I've played this year. If you a fan of spectacular retro-style arcades, and can appreciate handdrawn backgrounds, quite a hardcore gameplay and unusual visual style, then it's a game for you!
Been keeping an eye on this game for a while. It brings back great nostalgia for the times when we got story-driven platformers like this. It's simple on the surface, but very warm and enjoyable. Recommended for retro platformer fans.
I played a dev version of this game, and it had many interesting ideas combined to create a nice metroidvania experience. Excited to finally play the completed version! Update: Now that I beat the game I can expand a bit more. The most fun part for me was probably the platforming challenges. Not too easy to be beaten instantly first try, but not too hard to be very frustrating. The overall exploration aspect is also great. The game is small enough that getting lost is not too much of a problem, as you can quickly explore all the known landmarks, especially with fast travel, and check whether you missed something at any of them. The ability progression system is pretty good, because even at the endgame you don't feel too overpowered, as you can only have one major ability active at a time. The battles were the one aspect that felt like it was a bit lagging behind the other ones. The regular enemies pose a good level of challenge, and the later enemies get more interesting. However, the feeling of the battle, the handling of it is not there. I would say the game is more focused on its platforming aspect than the battle one. Boss battles are similar. There are all the basic aspects, the moveset of the boss, the chance to deal some damage when it's open to attack, the challenge. But for some reason - maybe because the HP of the boss is shown, maybe because of the spammable nature of the player's attacks - fighting the bosses doesn't feel super thrilling. But still, the main focus of the game - the exploration and platforming challenges are done really well, and I liked the game for these aspects.
