Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Aug 20 → 6.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Lead the last survivors in the aftermath of the Cataclismo as a corrupted world seeks to destroy all that remains of humanity. Build fortresses brick by brick, designing intricate, towering structures of wood and stone to fend off waves of Horrors as they attempt to overwhelm your band of survivors. Command powerful units in their stalwart defense, coordinating their varied capabilities as you race from breach to breach. Lead forays into the unknown to secure the vital resources needed to grow your military might and construction capabilities as you hold fast against the ever-growing onslaught – siege after siege, night after night.

Far from the relative safety of the Last City, your citadels and outposts hold back the hordes of Horrors before they can strike at the heart of humanity. Build impregnable fortresses across multiple biomes using an intricate building system that allows you to design your defenses with full freedom and strategic creativity, adapting your plans to the surrounding environment. Take advantage of natural chokepoints, height advantages, and local resources as you strategize for the challenge of each upcoming night’s attack.
A highly modular building system allows you to design your fortresses exactly as you desire – one piece at a time, with blueprints you have designed in advance, or using community creations shared by other players. Use your hard-earned resources to build structures that grant access to previously unreachable parts of the map, or construct fortifications that deny the Horrors access and provide your troops safe vantage points.
Build cheaply and quickly using wood, or establish quarries and use durable stone to better withstand the onslaught. Keep an eye on structural integrity and load-bearing columns as falling pieces will kill friend and foe alike, often creating unique opportunities to crush numerous enemies with cleverly placed vulnerabilities.
Adapt your fortress to growing needs as you acquire new tools and expand in an attempt to secure all the resources needed to sustain a powerful defensive force. Optimize the path from resource deposits to your warehouses with well placed structures and use rooftop construction to make the most of your limited space.

Though the Horrors may test your defenses during the day, only at night do they pour forth in full force. Spend your days exploring the world and pursuing the growth of your fortress, but as the sun starts to set, you would be wise to position your forces in preparation for the night’s onslaught.
Skillfully command soldiers ranging from sharp-eyed bowmen to explosive cannoneers to respond to an ever-evolving situation as new Horrors emerge. Draw the enemy into chokepoints lined with devastating traps and ambush them raining down fire arrows and pots of poison flung from your battlements. Maneuver your troops into precise tactical positions to take advantage of special traits and abilities made available as they upgrade, positioning them at heights that let them perform at their best – a wise architect can design fortresses that allow for a tiered defense.
Build vital structures to sustain your defenses against the growing threat and unlock higher levels of prosperity alongside new technologies. Resource gathering outposts, unit recruitment centers, and housing for your citizens all directly and indirectly support your troops in their efforts. Should the walls falter, even your citizens' homes can be used as a secondary layer of defense – you must protect the citadel at all costs.

Cataclismo contains all three of: an epic single-player narrative campaign; a skirmish mode featuring hand-crafted maps; and an endlessly replayable challenge mode that puts you to the test on procedurally generated maps where you fend off increasingly dangerous waves of Horrors. A complex map editor gives you the ability to design and share skirmish maps of your own to challenge the community while the intricate construction system will allow the architecturally inclined to build and share blueprints and help others in their defense against the Horrors.
The Cataclismo left the world devastated. But all hope is not lost – lead humanity through the darkness to a bright future as you design grand fortresses and command troops in real-time battles against a seemingly endless horde that will stop at nothing to see your people destroyed.

Story and strategy games can go both ways. They can add immense depth and connective tissue, or they can become annoying and confusing filler. Cataclismo unfortunately falls into the second category… at least for me. This could be saved by interesting and fun gameplay, but... it's not. Building something that looks decent takes too long, and then you just watch it crumble so you can rebuild it again. Maybe it would become fun if I stuck with it a bit longer, but life is short and games are many. Looks beautiful though!
I thought I would be interested because I like building games and lego, as well as the general concept of base building tower defense. However, the implementation ends up being really tedious. Everything you build needs to have a walkable path from the ground to the top. Also, every structure you build is a pillar. There is no concept of walls and roof, you are just building giant cubes of stone, a staircase up to it, and a bunch of the same unit buff structures along all your walls. And boy is the pacing slow. Overall interesting concept but unfortunately kind of meh execution.

Liked the concept but found the realisation of it a little dry. The city management gives you very little to work with but keeps bottlenecking so I only found it frustrating. Didn't enjoy the building - you have to make walls and towers accessible for units and then you need to consider height and protection from the rain so I spent a lot of time realising I'd messed up the design and having to tear it down and as hordes just pile at you the layout of your defences only matters so much - you can't build channels or killing zones as meaningfully as you can in other tower defence games.
I like the combination of defense building and city management. Custom community controls work well on the Steam Deck. Building large wall sections is a little tedious.
Such an odd game. On the one hand, a nice premise around building your base, which can be destroyed brick by brick, and the usual TD-style defence. On the other, it has you trapsing around maps Diablo style, building bridges and performing basic actions. Overall it just doesn't stick the landing. It's too fiddly, the real-time aspects cause more aggravation than they should, enemy variety isn't good either. If they'd just focused on the TD part of the design and fleshed that way out, around the build-your-base approach, it could have been much better. Can't recommend.
Finally... A game that surpassed castle story! I love this type of strategy/survival/tower defense, one of my favourite games.
This game is missing something. It's got a lot of ideas that are fundamentally interesting and which drew me in, but it also feels like most of them are in some way mishandled. It commits that RTS sin where you're building your way up the same tedious tech tree every mission, so the economic aspect feels extremely repetitive. The detailed options for building fortifications are cool, but ultimately the most "effective" fortifications also tend to be incredibly hideous and disjointed, as you're also paying for aesthetics and symmetry, so you really want to just make some sort of stripped down monstrosity that *performs*. You are also, once again, rebuilding basically the same fortifications over and over except when there are unremovable pre-existing fortifications you have to build around in which case you're building the same fortifications but being really annoyed while doing so. The game is also bad at communicating certain things, like it'll tell you that a thing is an improved version of another thing, but not by how much it is improved, for instance, until you actually build the improved thing. Your fort being damaged and destroyed block-by-block(unless, of course, a block gets taken out that collapses other blocks...) and with no end-of-fight insta rebuild option(that I found), means rebuilding something damaged is also desperately tedious. The scarce resources also contribute to a very rich-get-richer thing where if you breeze through early waves and don't need to make repairs or replace guys, later waves get effortless, while if you barely scrape through a non-final wave, you may as well restart the entire mission. I also really disliked the voice acting. Some lines are just delivered... badly(like the world's most unconcerned mortally wounded bowman who just doesn't give a damn that he's dying, apparently), but the way most of it is spoken in unaccented English, until suddenly there's a Proper Noun that needs an accent(but not even consistently, do you pronounce the H in Hogar or not?!) and is largely borrowed from French/Spanish/Italian, just feels super awkward and like a native English speaker trying to write someone with a Hispanic background very poorly. I really wish the game was better because a block-by-block building game where my buildings actually got put to the test against some sort of challenge deeply appeals to me on a fundamental level, but it feels like Cataclismo is detailed in all the wrong places, in a way that makes the details get in the way of the actual gameplay.
Initially when I played this game I stopped shortly after playing the tutorial thinking this was not for me . I'm super glad I revisited this game though and gave it another shot. If you like strategic RTS games with the ability to pause ( think they are billions or maybe end zone) you will love this . The art style and voice acting are great . I enjoyed the story though it was not the selling point. This game shines in it's design. Its great fun and surprisingly complex with its spin on traditional tower defense RTS with it's building mechanic. I had one small bug with an achievement unlocking but it was easily fixed. ( if you want to beat the game on expert achievement make sure not to skip the tutorial even when prompted ) but the dev support was friendly, helpful and punctual when contacted. Definitely worth a buy . Loved my time with this game and you can tell it was made with passion by a talented team.
