Cat Detective Albert Wilde

Very funny game with a really enjoyable story and really enjoyable characters. The design of all the animal characters and the world around them is gorgeous! It's a bit buggy here and there with the dialogue and you can't choose when to save, however, I found that it hardly took away from the experience. The camera sensitivity, even all the way up, is ridiculously slow, but it's not like you'll be exploring a lot anyway as it's mainly just a visual novel with things you need to click on being highlighted. Absolutely loved this, recommend!

This game is definitely unique and one you'll either love or hate. The art style felt both cool and jarring at first, and can be a bit irritating for the eyes because of the filters that make it look like old black and white film footage (but you can probably remove the filters from the options, I just wanted to experience it the way it is). It's absolutely filled with dry humor and animal puns / gags, 4th wall breaking comments, and sassy banter and roasting between characters. The quests were fairly simple and straightforward, although trolling the player at times. The plot took some weird twists and turns that left me with no idea where it would eventually go, but I had a lot of fun. Some of the gags get a bit repetitive at times, but it fits the style. Relies very heavily on dialogue, so the exploration and puzzles played a smaller role, but it's a nice, relatively short game for when you aren't feeling the smartest or fastest and just want to enjoy an interactive story. Definitely worth experiencing! xD

i would recommend this game for it's story telling points ONLY, so if you want it, wait for it to be on sale. controls are a bit clunky. I don't love the first person camera angle, and it's really annoying that you can't turn off the filter that makes the ENTIRE game look like a film noir. it's incredibly distracting. so, i mean, yeah, fun story line, but a lot of play issues.
