Very fun shooting
Thank you for your continuous updates. Your creations are special. Please continue to make great games!
I think it's one of my favorite depictions of hell. Diverse worlds to explore, fun boss battles, good level design that gives you a nice mix of run and gun moments as well as platforming. The shooter elements are ok, but they aren't what I'd consider the highlight of the game at all. You have a nice range of weapons, and they work as well as you'd expect. The shotgun shots, and the grenade launcher grenades. I don't really know what to say, I mean guns shoot, things explode, it all works quite well in the grand scheme of things. The enemies just aren't particularly interesting to kill I guess. There are very few ranged enemies, and outside of health they don't drop much of value so are just obstacles to your path. Level design is pretty good, with a setup that allows you to jump back into previous circles of Hell with a new set of abilities that will help you find the remaining shards. Some shards are more difficult to unlock than others, and you'll need more and more shards to unlock different circles of Hell. This can be somewhat frustrating as some levels have instant kill mechanics which will put you back at the start of that level, and you'll have to run through everything to get back to where you were again. Thankfully the levels are mostly pretty straight forward. Music is excellent, and the voice acting is surprisingly superb. Overall if you are looking for a first person shooter that has you collecting shards across Hell in the most whimiscal version of it ever, this is the shooter for you.

a friend gifted me the game, at first I didn't think much of it, but after playing it, I thoroughly enjoyed it. sadly I had to uninstall to play another game, but it was an enjoyable experience. Thank you to the devs for this amazing game. need more fps metroidvania like games.
A fun and creative game that's worth picking up, if you can handle some serious jank and unusual design decisions. Disclaimer: I played on Linux through Proton. None of the other reviews complained about any of the issues I'm about to bring up, so either they have a very high tolerance for this sort of stuff and didn't think to mention it, or there were some seriously strange abnormalities with Proton. To list my grievances:

Very low music and voice line audio quality
Music cutting out when many sounds play at once, like when clearing multiple goop puddles with one shot
Music entirely absent at times, like during the gokart minigame
Painfully loud bullet impact sounds on weapons like the shotgun and rocket launcher
Objects like cannons and wall-runnable walls have gigantic hit triggers, making it very easy to run into them on accident
Animated objects in the world have very janky, stiff animations - the bee and roller coaster, for example
You can't look up and down fully, for some reason - there's a limit of about 75 degrees away from horizontal
Enemies respawn whenever you exit a challenge room or use a shop, sometimes directly on top of you
You get health upgrades, but almost every boss uses mainly instant kill moves (the final boss was particularly frustrating because of this)
Some spawn points aren't set correctly, and you spawn in hazards or through the floor (and fall to your death)
To be clear, I did genuinely enjoy the game. The collectathon elements are well done, exploration is fun and not too confusing, and there are plenty of unique challenges and minigames to keep things fresh. The game has a good sense of humour, and the visuals, while not exactly cutting edge, are quirky, charming, and perfectly functional. And, despite complaining about audio quality, I found a lot of the music to be very enjoyable as well. I'm still recommending the game, but it would be a much more enthusiastic recommendation if the experience was more polished.

A boomer shooter but for all ages. Much more graphical than the last entry in the series
cool collectathon. lots of unique settings and locations and theres quite a lot of variance in the stuff you get to do with short minigames in each zone.
I've been following the progression of this game for a little while now, and I've loved the path that it's taken recently. Ever since I got my hands on the demo, minor adjustments that just seemed natural have been made. Things like bosses throughout the middle of the game were toned down a bit, making it feel bearable to do those sections more than a few times if I really needed to. The art style is something unique for me as well. Castillo feels like an embodiment of an amazing retro title brought into the modern day of development, with fun little twists and turns of recent thinking around games combined with the nostalgic pixelation of the world around you. I would definitely check this out if you're looking for a dynamic and goofy kinda game.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It is a boomer shooter in which we will play Dracula, once we kill him in the previous game. When Dracula dies, he reaches limbo where we must help a diabolical doll that we carry with us to repair some dimensional faults. The game is quite entertaining, with a large number of critters which each have their strengths and weaknesses to certain weapons. We will travel through 9 worlds getting crystals, which allow us to open worlds and buy skills, these skills will allow us to reach new places in previous maps. Pro: -Gameplay: 7-8, as there are many mini-games all over the map, new skills, weapons, it never gets boring. -Music and sound: The best, very doom-style. -Graphics: A pretty nice pixel art to my taste. - Not expensive. Cons: -There are certain achievements that are bugged, such as entry to 2 beta maps.
