About

I had a blast creating this little game. It's a short experience, and I hope the secrets and little surprises I hid in it will stay with you for a long time!
- Bastinus Rex

You are the Carimara. Small, mute, sorcerous. Born of moss and mirrorlight, skilled only in the art of asking. Wandering a house stitched from grief and riddles; you don't speak, you don’t chant, you don’t fight. You hold the house by its dead hands and conjure questions from dust, from bone, from whatever’s left behind. Be careful not to press too far, or wake you might, what's sealed afar.
You speak through cards with glyphs long lost, in halls where kindness hides its cost.
Some smile, some sneer, some simply stare, but all who watch know you are there.

Within these walls, let silence guide, where cards bloom from what things once hide.
Ask gently now, with ghostly touch. Some secrets crack when pressed too much.

Candlelight flickers on furniture worn, in rooms where silence was weathered and torn.
It waits in the gloom with a breath held tight, a hush that has lingered far past the night.

No blades to swing, no foes to fight. Just riddles wrapped in candlelight.
For those who seek what lies askew, where stories murmur back to you.

Yes, play it, short but lovely.
Really short, simple puzzle game whose art and atmosphere really sell it. You play as a mute carimara - essentially an exorcist. You're mute, and convey thoughts to others by showing them cards that you make of the clues that you find. Your job is straightforward: exorcise the spirit under an old lady's house. Besides showing you how to use the cards, the game leaves you to your own devices, which works very well because the mystery unfolds in a natural way as you bang your head against it - I found that each time I thought I was finished or stuck, I stumbled across something new without too much friction. The size and scope of the map works well without needing a run function (though I still reached for one during the times I was reset and went back somewhere), the camera angle being low (since you're just a small ghoublin) was fun, and the art direction and the dithering effect were both really cool. Of course the old lady has four arms and four knitting needles; of course the owl is horrifying; of course the mouse looks like a naked mole rat birthed a crocodile. Even the effect when something is highlighted on mouse hover is cool. Playtime 1 hour. Went back and finished the content I'd missed, final time 94 mins.
Очень стильная игра, недолгая, но приятно реализована. Посмотрела летсплей и решила поддержать проект деньгами, надеюсь поиграть в будущие проекты от этого разработчика!
Carimara, only took me 30 minutes to get the ending, then 50 more to figure out every secret. Interesting but vague story.
