About
Your journey begins on a remote island with a small crew of workers and a ship full of supplies. Mine raw materials, reshape the fully dynamic terrain, grow crops, build factories, and research new technologies. Expand across the island, lay rail networks, trade with distant settlements, and work your way up to nuclear power and space flight.
The entire terrain is fully dynamic. Every mountain can be flattened, every valley filled, and even the ocean can be reclaimed to expand the available land. Create open-pit mines to reach deep ore deposits, or dump excess rock into the ocean to expand your shoreline. Build ramps and slopes so your vehicles can reach any elevation.
Start simple with iron smelting, concrete mixing, and food processing. As you research new technologies, expand into oil refining, electronics, computing, and eventually rocket and space station components. Manage waste and pollution before they affect your people's health.

Trucks handle general logistics automatically, delivering products where they are needed most. Lay conveyor belts and pipes for high-throughput direct connections between machines. Build a rail network to move bulk cargo across long distances. Use amphibious vehicles and bridges to reach other islands.
Grow crops on farms and process them into food or industrial products. Supply fertilizers to boost yields and build greenhouses to grow more advanced crops. Your population needs housing, clean water, electricity, healthcare, and household goods. Keep them happy and healthy, and they will reward you with Unity, a resource that lets you speed up construction, enact powerful edicts, and claim resources on the world map. Neglect waste management or let pollution build up, and diseases will spread.
Send your ship out to explore the world map. Discover new islands with resources to import, refugees to rescue, and allied settlements to trade with. Establish shipping contracts for recurring exchanges, or negotiate quick trades when you need something fast. Your ultimate goal is full self-sufficiency: launch rockets, build a space station, and mine asteroids for rare resources that make your colony independent indefinitely.
Copy and paste parts of your factory, or save entire layouts as blueprints to reuse and share. Use planning mode to lay out designs before committing resources. Design your own island in the map editor and play it or share it with others. Or switch to sandbox mode where all buildings and resources are free, perfect for experimenting and learning.

(Tains) DLC out before the game is even released? No.
Love the game—it’s going in the right direction, and I’m happy to see it. This is an early access game, meaning it’s looking to build further on itself with the help of the players. (Literally stated in the early access game statement: “We read feedback wherever it shows up (Feature Upvote, Steam, Discord, Reddit, etc.) and use it to prioritize features we are working on. We also publish dev blogs to share progress and direction.”) BUT Now comes my issue... The behavior of one of the marked devs (on Discord), Captain Filip. Today I read a post by him calling someone a terrorist, and that was the icing on the cake. I have often read posts from him that were rude, snide, or just outright toxic (worse than what I’ve seen from a League player). For a game that invites children, I cannot accept this kind of behavior. So if you end up buying this game, I recommend staying out of their Discord. To the game devs: I hope a day will come when all devs, mods, or other representatives of your game act in a way that allows me to recommend the game again.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The game is not bad, but a paid DLC before full release is unacceptable, maybe except cosmetic only features. In addition to that, the latest DLC is something that should be availabe late game without a DLC.
I was really looking forward to further improvements on this unfinished game, but they locked functional game play changes around one of the big areas that needed improvement, trains, behind paid DLC, while it was still in early access. No, it's not just cosmetic trains. The trains in that pack open up more options when designing the rail systems by introducing substantially distinct locomotives. It feels like a stab in the back to existing supporters. Finish the game first, then do that sort of stuff :(
Sells non-cosmetic DLC during early access. Make of it what you want but I don't like it...
This game is extremely fun and full of layers of complexity vanilla Factorio can only dream of. I like it a lot, I've enjoyed 99% of my time playing this game so far, so I would absolutely recommend PLAYING this game. That said, the developers are terrible. They seem disinterested in actually supporting their product, as after posting a bug report and requesting assistance the issue was immediately without any evidence blamed on my i9 having degraded and my follow-up pointing out that cinebench tests indicate otherwise, and that this is the only program experiencing issues, were ignored. Throw on top their recent burning of all bridges with their own modding scene, and releasing a frankly half-baked paid DLC for a game that's still in early access and while I can absolutely recommend playing this game, I cannot by any means recommend supporting this developer.
I love the game, wanted to replay it again (for like the third time, getting further in the game each time) but seeing that they sell features as dlc i lost interest. Edit: I would be willing to support the developers monetarily if they say "hey we need the money to continue the development" But i dont want to signal them that its ok to sell features as dlc. Hell, even making a patreon would be preferrable to me.
I've played this game quite a bit and the part I liked the least was storage. Well not to worry, COI extended fixed that for me and I've enjoyed the game. Unfortunately as of April 2, 2026, COI extended (MOD), one of the only mods this game has, has been revoked and can't be downloaded and distributed by legal threatening to the author. As a result, I will never buy another Mi-Fi game and I wish I could return this one. Modding is the best part of gaming on a PC without that there is no community involvement, no replayability, no passion, and vanilla gaming just isn't for me. It's a game I really looked forward to many days, but today, 4.1 broke the last version of COI extended I had and I found this out, unplayable without that mod. Might as well tell me you banned ketchup on hamburgers. Shame on MiFi games, you obviously don't understand gaming. Sorry to see it. And why are we forced to download versions of a game that we don't want? That's a steam thing more than anything, would happily play 4.0 indefinitely, oh well. Without COI mod, the game is meh, can't really recommend it.
