After 30+hrs now and beating the career mode I can say without a doubt this is a must-buy for any pc hockey fan, and a super satisfying gaming experience. Winning the cup was akin to the feeling of accomplishment in recent gaming memory of beating a Hades boss for the first time. Super responsive dev as well, had a couple quality of life requests as well as the below AI complaint (which I'll leave in for context) and I got a response and a week later updated with exactly what I asked for as well as a new mode which adds some replay-ability after the campaign, seems like it will only continue to get better (Would 100% purchase a canvas hockey 2, maybe with 5-on-5 play) I was honestly not expecting much with this I just wanted some kind of hockey game on the pc for a few minutes here and there considering the notable void of such games, but I have been quite pleasantly surprised. It's very bare-bones visually but the game-play is suitably crunchy and fast-paced and the career mode has a surprising amount of progression and customisation for an arcade-y game. My couple gripes are the somewhat janky AI at times (my opponent stuck in the net or corner a couple times) and the lack of ability to change your keybindings or controls but considering I've already gotten much more out of this than I thought I would and can see myself coming back to the career mode for a good while, this is definitely a thumb's-up from me.
This is one of the most high-adrenaline, rewarding hockey epics in gaming history. Even the most ferocious players will be challenged, as success in the lower leagues is rewarded by promotion - like the sixth grade student entering junior high, you will suddenly find yourself thrashed around by the vastly superior physical skills of your opponents. Demotion, likewise, isn't too bad because you get the chance to dominate back in the minors and earn valuable experience. Only the supreme focus and discipline of a ninja will allow you to eventually overcome your rival players, who possess blazing speed and will violently check you literally across the arena. Having won the Canvas Hockey League Elite championship, I can now die in peace knowing that I have accomplished something truly great. Canvas Hockey emphasizes entertaining gameplay over glitzy graphics - its hand-drawn style and tasteful, folksy music add an endearing atmosphere to the whole affair. Loading speeds are extremely quick. I bought this game as a boy. I completed it a man. For the low price, you have nothing to lose and immortality to gain.
Canvas Hockey brings nostalgic memories of playing sports games with friends on the same computer back in my childhood. The difference is that this game is well polished and has great attention to detail for an indie game. In an era of ray traced graphics, massive 100 player death matches, and complex game mechanics, Canvas Hockey is a refreshing experience that shows simplicity with love from the developers can still be a blast to play.
Canvas Hockey is a delightful breathe of fresh air. The pick up and play controls make this an accessible title for fans and newcomers alike. The 1v1 or 2v2 battles are augmented by tournament play for up to 12 people. The endless career mode allows players the opportunity to create the HOFer of their dreams while climbing the ladder to wards the ultimate goal of earning the CHL cup. https://youtu.be/wc6XvbJ3ETA for a full video review This review was completed via a review code requested for by me after discovering it from another indie developer. This is a really well put together game, its challenging but still not too difficult. The career mode is fun, you get xp depending on how well you play to upgrade your player and make them better in game. You can also play co-op in career mode where a friend can help you win games. (I haven't been able to try this out yet) There is also a quick game and tournament game mode where you can play the ai or play against another player. (i haven't been able to give any of these game modes a try yet as I don't have anyone to play with and this is a bit of a hidden game) I definitely recommend giving this game a look if you're looking for a game that doesn't require too much attention to play and if your'e a fan of hockey as well. lastly the developer Brandon has been great with accepting feedback and recommendations
I got to play a lot of solos and duos which was pretty cool. The best part is definitely career mode and having the freedom to do what you want. It definitely gets pretty heated especially when you play good teams. The made up names of randomly generated opponents are funny. Overall solid game.
Probably nice, but it crashes all the time on a Win 10 box. I connected my Switch Pro Controller with Win/Steam. When I start the game it immediatly exits again because the game doesn't read the Controller right. When I press move-left while starting, it doesn't quit but enters the Quick Game immedietly. Here, when setting up the game, my "player" figure moves to the top left, apparently loosing health and spinning like crazy. When I turn off the Switch Controller, that player stands still and regenerates health. Looks to me as if that game is not really ready. The controller was calibrated, of course.

bilidğin hokey oyunu aslında üstten görünüm çizimler çok değişik güzel gibi de değil gibi de top nerede ben neredeyim saçma bir görüntü oluyor
unique art style, sound effects are great, gameplay give a small EA hockey from the 90s vibe. AI for teammate and goalie needs tweaking though. 2v2 with friends? barnburner! fun!
