Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Aug 22 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Diseño de arte espectacular, gran banda sonora, historia interesante y puzzles complejos.

Candle, developed and published by Teku Studios, is a hand-painted puzzle platformer that feels more like a moving piece of art than a conventional game. It tells the story of Teku, a young and fragile member of his tribe, who embarks on a perilous journey to rescue his people’s shaman after he is captured by the rival Wakcha tribe. Teku’s defining trait is his left hand, which is literally a living candle—a flickering flame that serves as both his guiding light and his greatest vulnerability. The game’s narrative unfolds as a spiritual odyssey through a world rich in tribal symbolism, nature worship, and mythic undertones, where fire represents life, knowledge, and danger all at once. Candle is as much about discovery and patience as it is about progression, and its greatest strength lies in how it merges visual artistry with atmospheric storytelling. What immediately sets Candle apart is its visual identity. Every frame of the game looks like it has been carefully painted by hand, and that’s because it was. Teku Studios created the game’s environments, characters, and animations using real watercolor paintings, scanned and layered into a living, interactive world. The result is breathtaking—a blend of warm earth tones, delicate brush textures, and fluid transitions that give the impression of exploring a storybook come to life. The environments vary from lush forests and ancient temples to dark caverns and mechanical ruins, each meticulously detailed and filled with subtle environmental storytelling. Light plays a crucial role not only as a gameplay mechanic but as an aesthetic device. Teku’s flickering flame illuminates his surroundings in soft gradients, creating a vivid contrast between the serenity of his candlelight and the shadowy menace of the unknown. The hand-painted visuals, combined with expressive sound design and ambient music, create a sense of immersion rarely achieved in modern 2D games. Gameplay in Candle is a hybrid of traditional platforming and environmental puzzle-solving. Teku can jump, climb, and interact with objects, but his movements are intentionally slow and deliberate. This pacing encourages observation and patience, which is essential because many of the game’s puzzles depend on noticing small visual cues embedded in the scenery. The candle mechanic is the game’s core innovation: Teku can light his flame to illuminate areas, trigger certain mechanisms, or ward off darkness, but this light also exposes him to danger. Some enemies and traps react to the flame, forcing players to extinguish it strategically and balance between light and safety. This mechanic lends the game a subtle tension, as every decision to ignite the candle becomes a risk-reward calculation. The puzzles themselves are varied—some rely on logic and item manipulation, others on memory or spatial awareness. Many require keen observation and experimentation, rewarding players who think carefully rather than rush forward. Yet, the same intricate design that makes the puzzles rewarding can also make them frustrating; sometimes vital clues are hidden within the dense watercolor backgrounds, making it difficult to distinguish interactable objects from mere decoration. Narratively, Candle unfolds like an ancient parable. Its story is told through a narrator who interprets the events and dialogue of characters speaking in a fictional tribal language. This technique creates a mythic tone, as though the story is being retold through oral tradition. The narrator’s voice carries warmth and gravitas, guiding players through Teku’s trials and interpreting conversations and events with a storyteller’s cadence. While this adds to the game’s sense of folklore, it also means the story progresses at a deliberate, sometimes languid pace. The narration cannot be skipped, and the rhythm of dialogue often feels slow compared to the flow of exploration. However, for players willing to sink into its meditative rhythm, the storytelling creates a deep emotional connection to the world and its inhabitants. Themes of courage, light versus darkness, and the cycle of destruction and renewal resonate throughout, reinforcing the symbolic role of Teku’s candle as a fragile yet enduring spark of hope. The sound design complements the visual artistry perfectly. The ambient soundtrack uses soft percussion, wooden flutes, and organic tones that evoke a sense of ancient spirituality. The music swells gently during moments of discovery and fades into silence during exploration, allowing natural sounds—like wind, water, and footsteps—to take precedence. This balance enhances the sense of immersion, grounding the player in a world that feels alive despite its painterly stillness. The environmental audio cues are also functional, subtly signaling when puzzles have been solved or when hidden mechanisms activate. The cohesive blend of visuals and sound creates a tranquil yet haunting mood, making Candle as much an auditory experience as a visual one. Despite its artistry, Candle is not without flaws. Its beauty sometimes works against its clarity. The richly detailed backgrounds can obscure important objects, switches, or pathways, leading to confusion. Players may find themselves stuck not because they failed to solve a puzzle logically, but because they simply didn’t realize what they could interact with. The platforming mechanics, while functional, are occasionally imprecise, making jumps or climbs feel sluggish. Teku’s slow movement adds to the game’s contemplative tone but can frustrate during segments that require quick timing. There are also moments where puzzle solutions rely on trial and error rather than intuitive design, breaking the game’s otherwise methodical rhythm. These flaws do not ruin the experience, but they do remind players that Candle’s beauty is sometimes a double-edged sword—its artistry demands patience and careful attention, and those seeking fast-paced action may find it too deliberate. Technically, Candle runs smoothly, with stable performance and crisp visual fidelity. The animations are fluid, and transitions between scenes are seamless, which helps maintain the illusion of a continuous watercolor world. The interface is minimalist, keeping the focus entirely on the environment. Save points are generous, and while the puzzles can be challenging, the game never punishes experimentation harshly. Teku’s candle mechanic, combined with environmental hazards, creates a gentle tension throughout, but the game avoids overwhelming difficulty. Its design philosophy leans toward immersion and storytelling rather than punishment or repetition, making it approachable even for those new to the genre. Ultimately, Candle stands as a triumph of visual storytelling and artistic integrity. It’s a game that prioritizes atmosphere, emotion, and craft over spectacle and speed. Teku Studios clearly poured their passion into every brushstroke and line of dialogue, crafting an experience that feels both intimate and grand. While its pacing and occasional obscurity may test players’ patience, those who take their time will find themselves rewarded with a game that lingers in memory long after the final scene. Candle is not just a journey through a beautifully painted world—it’s a meditation on perseverance, creativity, and the fragile light that guides us through darkness. It is a rare example of a video game that feels like a living work of art, glowing softly with heart and purpose. Rating: 7/10

Graphics: 9/10 — hand-painted watercolor style, sobrang unique.
