Absolutely boring and unfortunately a pretty weak Chilla’s Art game. The driving sections are just annoying and drag the game out way too much. There’s barely any actually scary atmosphere and instead most of the gameplay is just boring driving back and forth without any real buildup. The jumpscares are barely scary and unfortunately feel really obvious. The story is a typical ghost story that feels like you’ve already seen it a hundred times before. Overall I felt like the game barely creates any tension and just doesn’t do much with its idea. I was completely bored the whole time because there wasn’t a single moment that really convinced me or made me feel like I actually wanted to keep playing. Definitely one of the weaker Chilla’s Art games in my opinion.

Definitly one of the worst games made by Chilla's Art. Barely a horror game, most of the time you are just driving around between the locations.
pretty interesting concept
In a lot of ways this is one of Chilla's Art's weaker titles. Do not let that stop you from trying it out. In my quest to see all three endings, I encountered a game-breaking bug where the game did not register that I had collected / listened to all of the tapes, so I had to completely start the game over. That was a bummer, especially in a short horror game where you already need to play it multiple times to see all of the endings. There was another instance where I thought that the game had completely glitched out because the truck came to a stop and no matter what I did I could not get it to move again. I ended up starting over due to that as well, though I came to find out later that this is actually a scripted event and that they are trying to get you to look around and see something behind you that will trigger the truck to start working again. On the subject of the truck, this has some of the worst-feeling driving of any game that I have ever played. It feels more like controlling an unwieldy boat than anything, and it is very easy to get stuck on the geometry of the walls and barriers and it constantly interrupts your momentum and breaks the flow of the game, slowing it down unnecessarily. When I think back on it, it really sounds like this was a very unpleasant experience. And yet the truth is that I found myself more affected by The Radio Station than many of Chilla's other games. I think the mundanity of having to drive from place to place is part of it. There is no music. Ironically, there is no radio. You just drive in silence. Except when you are listening to the tapes. The audio for the tapes that you find is oddly good and well performed. I ended up skipping through them all on my 2nd and 3rd playthroughs, but I appreciate the effort. The adventure game aspects are minimum but the little puzzles that they do include are neat and grounded enough in reality to make this feel realistic and therefor even creepier. The jump scares are strangely effective as well, though you will obviously see them coming as you speedrun through the game on your 2nd and 3rd tries. All in all, Chilla's Art did it again. As strange as this may sound, the way that they design games reminds me of the most important aspect of learning a foreign language. You have to be okay with making mistakes and being less than perfect in order to get your thoughts and feelings and ideas into words, or in this case, into a video game. Chilla's Art is clearly not afraid of making games that are a bit rough around the edges but it is because they are clearly open to trying new things and innovating on their design ethos, and that is actually very cool. It would be easy for them to spit out a new game every few months that follows the same lo-fi horror formula and I bet that they would do just fine, but attempts like The Radio Station show me that they are interested in growing and tackling stranger and more complex projects, which I find very exciting!
👾 Análise do Voidzão 👾
NOTAS
Ambientação de Gênero (Horror/Aventura/Ação): 5/10. Jogabilidade e Mecânicas: 2/10. Trilha Sonora: 4/10. Gráficos: 5/10. Enredo: 7/10. NOTA GERAL: 4,6/10.
To kolejny minus - brak zapisu gry, a to dotyczy, chyba wszystkich gier Chillas Art. To coś nad czym trzeba popracować.
