Released cash-grab of some student quality project coming out of 3D school, don't encourage that crap

New player... Do I wish it was further along after all this time? Yes. I had a blast with the community, right now they make the game enjoyable. The current builds are not for everyone. The world is not even up 24/7. If you are expecting a fun weekend excursion for a few hours here and there, it has that. I highly recommend chatting on Discord or the game and joing the groups for RvR fun.
Honestly it doesn't even feel nostalgic. I feel like I'm running around farming loot with no powerups trying to craft gear just to have it reset later. The landscape is too open no hills, the terrain is flat for when you get into large fights its just chaos not a siege battle. The graphics well I don't need to even go there what did they invest into all this time there are no buildings anywhere no dungeons... It reminds me of an Age of empires game that went from birds eye view to play in first person only controlling your character. Its not immersive no magic awe moments trying to take in the surrounding scenery. Just play it for 1 hour set a time and then get a reimbursement from steam.
getting better
The game has all of the makings of a great game, it is still early access. The systems and designs are promising and it is fun even in it's current state. Even in the few weeks of early access the dev team has shown responsiveness to the community, and they clearly have their ear to the ground. Having said that, the game is not polished yet and if some work in progress elements will frustrate you, simply wait a little longer to give it a try.
This game has come along way and is playable. Helpful community and lots of pvp fun
Really Enjoying The Game. Minor Things like tedious Crafting and Finding the way to Places in The Frontier zones, Were/ Are kinda Annoying but overall im realloy Having Fun So far. Exited For a launch Down the Road. The Devs seem to take problems seriously and You can see Progress being made. Of course some will have their own version of Progress. So Far things like POI's not being able to be Taken were Fixed Imho were Fixed Rapidly. TY btw. anyway, If more people Play things will get better faster.
Lots and gathering mats, lots of crafting. Some resources are starved and make progress slow. Itemization isn't in yet, so you don't find loot, you make very basic starter type items. No dungeons, or monsters either. Just hunting and PVP. I didn't have any crashes, lag or bugs, but I have a high-end PC. Unchained is still very early. Only get if you were a huge DAoC fan and like testing concepts.
I think it is going in the right direction but still needs a good bit of work.
