Love the campaign, I played for hours non-stop on the campaigns and enjoyed every single second except the mission in the forest hiding from enemies 9/10.
The story is great but I wish they came out with a sequel because the game leaves off with a big cliff hanger. 10/10
If you got an AMD graphics card, turn HBAO+ and Dynamic Fur off…, my performance was absolutely terrible with it.. Ready for my 100% completion now! : D

Call of duty ghosts...what an underrated entry in the series. Not to say it doesnt have flaws but ill start with multiplayer and extinction and leave spoilers for the campaign section. The multiplayer was great. Had imo the best clan wars ever added to a call of duty game, innovated on a lot of things such as seeing the outside of the scope when zoomed in, sliding, and overall changing the core loop that fans came to know year to year from the previous games. Very grounded mp and had weight id give mp a 9/10 for what it had to offer. Extinction was a great side mode very different from what we were used to with previous infinity ward titles with spec ops but that was a good thing. Had a lot of challenge to it and some cool aliens and bosses were introduced. 9/10 for extinction. Now for the story back when I originally played it I thought it was so epic but replaying it as an adult I saw some flaws my younger self couldn't see. First we get introduced to the ghosts in a bad way but ill start with the intro to the game. It should not have began with playing as logan as the rods struck down destroying everything but should have started with playing as Elias or even Rorke would have been better to set up why he turned on the ghosts but to start we should have been introduced to the ghosts and built some kind of development with the characters so we feel attatched to them like cod 4 did with the SAS. We should have seen them banter and complete some epic missions before we cut to logan and the space station when it was taken over as the rods destroyed the earth. I also think the reasoning behind Rorke hunting the ghosts was a let down. He clearly wasnt savable the way he was hanging over the water when he stuck himself under and between the ladder steps so when he was left to fall into the water it felt less like a betrayal and more like he was already lost at that point. When the ghosts wanted to call the mission off Rorke was also the only 1 who wanted to keep eith the mission when the rest wanted to call it off which made me feel like Rorke had even less of a reason to be mad at the other ghosts for leaving him to fall into the water. I think a better way they could have done it was actually establishing how the ghosts came to be, how they operate together as a team, and show some feats before winding up at the dam mission and instead of it playing out like that I think it would have been better to play as Rorke and have Elias and the team leave you to be taken by the water when you actually could have been saved but they left you anyway so that it feels like Rorke actually had a reason to hunt the ghosts instead of saying the federation got him and turned him through breaking him. If the world was going to wind up post apocalyptic anyway after the rods hit the earth why wouldnt it be possible that out of revenge he started his own army since he was the best to fight the ghosts? I just feel like if the game went that route it would have went from a solid 7 out of 10 at best to a overall better experience. It wasnt even a bad campaign but it could have been better in terms of story telling. Ghosts was great overall but the story did drag down the experience slightly but id still rather see a ghosts 2 where we see what happens with logan and rorke teaming up after being left in the hole to be broken and turned but again they could have setup that ending way better if we got a more rewarding beginning and middle section to the game which I feel is exactly why we will never see a ghosts 2 but see a black ops 6 and 7 where its so bad its comical but that's for a different review. Anyway ghosts is good fun if you can get it on sale and if youre ever bored its a good game to fill in some time
