C-Wars is pixel action game with strategy, rogue-like flavor, and a 16-bit graphics which is retro enough to bring you back to 90's. If you love challenge, pixel art, and occasionally play FPS, then C-Wars is worth to try out.

Sorry, but I cannot recommend the game in this state. I have supported this game on early stage of development on Kickstarter but the decs dropped any deevlopment efforts some time ago.
I was also a KS backer. Game is beyond broken. Very sad. The bones of it feel like it could have been fleshed out. Art still looks good, but there is no game to play here.
It is still a huge mess with clunky controls, even with playing tutorial the game is not really possible to play. perhaps it will get better but i doubt it, if there was a way to use your mouse to choose things while setting things up it would be better, but it is basically a control heavy dependant game. i would like to like this game as the concept seemed quite fun, but no.... this is not a game worth the money spendt on it.
What a mess. I am one of the unfortunate persons who backed this on Kickstarter. The final result feels very wonky and unfinished and is a long way from what was promised.
Now now I was one who badmouthed this game for being dead for years and to my surprise devs came back to it, which is great, On to it: Art is wonderful, story is cool and combat is fluid for most part. Now I got two main points regarding the later: -Constant chatter of the characters mid combat - combat here is not turn based and there are no voice overs, so it means combat stops in the middle of action for really lengthy conversations between MC and his AI. I love the flavor text you guys use however for combat information it is really long winded. Either give us a text only tutorial accessible anytime in the game or make info more on point and or only at the start of a battle. -Don´t make us lose itens when we lose, just gives a straight game over like most games do. Or at least give us an option like "Normal mode - you just get a game over when you die" and "survivor mode - you lose your itens when you die and can try again". I mean it is not an easy system and being fast means we can also lose quickly and losing itens with that is really bad. Basides those two points, loving the game thus far :3 -
When I kickstarted this game initially I was hoping for a indie game in the style of Megaman Battle Network with a little added depth here and there. I eventually got that when I bought another game called "One Step from Eden" as well as several others at this point. C-Wars on the other hand had a decent playing alpha, then eventually the game turned into what we have here. What progress was made, like more detailed backgrounds with bigger stages, wound up being things that hurt the seemingly tight game design of the previous demo. It also pretty quickly became clear that there wasn't ever going to be much more content the few screens you see on the store page.
In reponse to Auburok 's review below - if you think you're dissapointed because you've been waiting since 2012 for this game, try waiting since 2009! I've been tracking it since way back then and was so excited when it came up on Greenlight. This game actually started out as a Java Nokia mobile game: http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/r/Mobile/Crystalides/video.asp?c=42128 https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=3&v=0q2bIoU8m2E and then was meant to be converted to Android: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1&v=i_Qz8v4WndQ and both of these versions looked far more exciting than what we've ended up with here in C-Wars. It looked so promising then ended up not finished and disapointing. Boo.
Horrible. Completely rear-ended the backers. Free would be too expensive.
妙啊妙啊
This game is promising if they continued their work on it. I admire games like this, megaman bn kind of tactics. I do hope it to finish
