Yes, it's basically Mindustry broken down and without the Supreme Commanderesque units
I 100%'d the game in 10 hours. All achievements, all missions on hardest difficulty. So... the content can go pretty fast. But honestly? It was really fun. It feels like a puzzle game most of the time with how you have to maneuver and defend your own stuff while trying to snip off the enemy's connections. Now that the game has workshop support there should be a slow but steady stream of content from the community to supplement what's already there. It's also going to be crazy if/when PvP gets added.
soo good! how does this game so few reviews? very clever game mechanics which i really love. please keep making games!
Really quite fun little game, it's not very long but i prefer a fun game that don't outstay it's welcome than a bloated mess that just eats time. If you played strategy games that are more like tug of war than anything else you know how it plays, it's a bit like Creeper worlds series (highly recommended if you like this one) and the main reason i got interested. I had my fun with it, it's not overly micro heavy so even i could finish it on hard (i don't do very well under pressure...) Playtime inflated as i left it in the background, can only play for a little at a time so didn't bother closing it down. All maps done on hard + achievements done. Ingame profile shows 8h for it and it sounds about right. Was fun enough i wrote some guides for it as well to help others, the guide section was empty so looked a bit sad before. Also credits to GiantGrantGames for showing the game, found it from him :D
Unique and solid game that is definitely worth it on sale. If you like RTS but want something a little different this will scratch that itch. Once I finished the campaign I felt like I had received my moneys worth and didn't feel the need to pick it up anymore.
Byte Lynx is a game unlike any I've played before. Took a while to get my head around the unique gameplay but I really liked it. I recommend easy mode to start then up difficulty for a real challenge. Want to know more? A fun single player game, which somewhat brings back nostalgia of old RTS titles from childhood. The main thing here is the campaign, albeit it's quite short.
Been following the development of this game since its inception and finally got a chance to try it out! I have to say that the team at Artful games has pulled off something really innovative as their first game. I'd highly recommend anyone to check it out if you are a fan of the RTS genre
Hidden gem with simple but extremely satisfying gameplay.
