Bullet Beat is a shoot'em up, where everything at the levels is in tune with the music, even shooting. You can also upload your track and enjoy the experimental generated levels! Keep the combo to get stronger!

A very decent music shooter game. The price is right and its fun!
Uploading your own music files is really impressive. The game is so much fun for its price. The level design is fantastic and the gameplay, although simple, is captivating. I just wish it was longer! Bulet Beat has a unique concept of combining bullet hell gameplay with music and beat mechanics. It's a cool little game that has its moments, and considering the price, it's not bad at all. The soundtrack, especially the dubstep ost, is pretty decent. I particularly enjoyed the music in Stage 6, where everything is dark and you have to navigate with limited visibility. The mouse controls also felt really smooth.
amazing
I rate Bullet Beat: Musical Shoot'em up 2.5/5. This extremely short, simple, vertical scrolling “bullet-hell” game is a good idea done badly. The manner in which enemies appear and behave is partially controlled by the beat and intensity of whatever song is playing during each level, which is a good idea (one which has been done before, as in the Beat Hazard games for example). Unfortunately, Bullet Beat takes that same cool, seemingly simple idea and then does very little with it. As it currently exists, Bullet Beat is a missed opportunity. + Bullet Beat has some mild replay value if you want to play the game using different song files of your own. There are also 3 difficulty levels. +/- The mouse controls are sharp and respond instantly. The keyboard controls (which do not need to be used) are floaty, imprecise and slow to react however. +/- The simple, modern-art, abstract style seems vaguely interesting at first but gets boring fast. The graphics can also be extremely distracting and visually irritating at times (like during the entire first level). +/- The game’s default music is entirely dub-step techno. If you like that style of music, you’ll be vastly more likely to like this game. +/- You can also have the game use your own music tracks however I don’t think the game responds very well or behaves in an interesting manner when using custom music, particularly if the beat of that music is very regular. I tested this game’s custom music mode by using “Can I Have a Word” by Capsule (which isn’t dubstep techno but should have been suitably frenetic) but the gameplay ended up being quite sedate and boring. Apparently, if the beat is very regular, the entire game will respond in an extremely regular manner too, as it appears to ultimately ignore all other aspects of music other than, perhaps, overall noise or volume level, I guess. The beat is definitely what is most important in Bullet Beat (I think it determines how the enemy shapes move and how often they appear). - Bullet Beat is a single player game ONLY. This is a missed opportunity. Any game of this general bullet hell style which is single player only is missing an obvious opportunity for further fun. - No soundtrack is available to buy on steam and as far as I can tell, no soundtrack comes for free with this game. I did manage to find this game’s soundtrack on Youtube however. I like the game’s menu music fairly well after all. - This is an extremely short, bare-bones game severely lacking in extras and features. As I remember, it took me about 38 minutes to play all the way through it on the casual difficulty level.
There's a combo system but it's so strict that even getting a 2 combo is usually impossible because there's no 2nd enemy in range, there's no second enemy at all, all of the enemies are phased into the invincible bumpy squares that block your shots, or the music makes your guns stop firing, which means your combo is dead even if it only happens for a fraction of a second. Because of the unreasonable combo system, you frequently have to fly into gunfire & just hope you don't get shot. 99% of the enemies are the invincible bumpy squares so the screen tends to be flooded with things that can't be killed & only exist to block your shots. Most tracks have only 1 enemy type (except bumpy squares) & some have no enemies at all because the game can easily go dozens of seconds at a time without spawning anything even though there's music playing. No track has been satisfying in this game because it's always completely underwhelming, a mad dash to get a combo no matter the consequences, or somehow both. The interface is also terrible because every time I wanna change tracks, the game minimizes so I can use a window on my computer to do it instead of an in-game menu & the window never saves my place so I always have to scroll through the entire list again & then when I pick a track the game starts while it's still minimized so I have to immediately restart the track after I fullscreen the game. Also, basic words are misspelled like "completed" spelled as "complited", which isn't a big deal but it just really shows the lack of care put into this game, considering how easy it is to google the spelling of a word. This is probably the 2nd least polished game I've played, just under Rhythm Rush.
Bulet Beat has a pretty cool concept in the fact that it's a bullet hell game with music/beat mechanics that go with the flow of the beat. It's a cool little game that has it's moments, and its not bad for the price. The soundtrack is pretty decent with it's dubstep ost. My favorite was from Stage 6(?). a level where everything is dark and you have to figure out where everything's at with limited visibility. Mouse controls also felt pretty good. However, one of the main points of the game is that you can upload your own music from your PC, and play generated levels based on the tempo of your music. I tried it with a couple of my own tracks and it worked pretty well. Pros: (1). Decent Soundtrack (2). Upload your own music functionality (3). Various playable modes such as: Endless, Campaign, Chill-Out Mode, Survival, and Track Selection (4). Bonus Levels (5). Difficulty Selection (6). Achievements! Cons: (1). Controller Support issues (2.) Keyboard Control Issues (3). Ran into a bug that made my cursor invisible in the main menu (4). Combo meter goes away incredibly fast Overall, a cool little game that has a pretty neat concept. Not bad for the $1 I spent
You can play it through in a hour, but it´s a fun ride. Make sure you play with the mouse, keyboard control doesn't work properly,
Short and fun title that takes about 30 minutes or so to finish. There's an endless mode if you want. The whole "in tune with the music," doesn't really feel like it pans out though, so if that's the major thing pulling you in I think you should know it feels like little more than enemies pulsating. The game is fun though. The last level of the campaign is incredibly awful as it's just unclear how you're supposed to beat it leading to frustration. Have the rockets hit the turrets, blow up the squares. Huzzah, you've won.
