What could possibly go RIGHT?
This game will not run properly. I've tried changing the settings to try to fix my issues and it still will not work properly after entering a level. Do not buy. (PS. Play Sonic Lost World instead.) Update #1: As of May 27, 2026, almost a year later, and I still have the same issues. I've tried everything I could to fix it, I've set the graphics settings to the lowest I can possibly set 'em, I've looked up solutions online. And it still crashes whenever I enter a level. Do not buy. Update #2: Ok, so I got the game for free through PlayStation Plus and it works on there. I'm currently on the third world so far, and honestly, it feels kinda basic. Like, it's not exactly terrible, but not great either. It's more like "ok-ish." Although, of all the Bubsy games I've played so far, this one's one of the better ones. Am I gonna change my review from not recommended to recommended now? No. Why's that? 'CAUSE THE PC VERSION IS STILL FRICKIN' BROKEN!! And even if they end up fixin' the issues on PC (which I honestly don't think they'll ever do), I don't think I'd change my review's not recommended to recommended either. But yeah, once I get the trophies on the PS4 version, I'm probably not gonna touch the game again (partly due to the bosses (if you're goin' for the achievements, you'll know what I mean by this)). So yeah. In short: Don't buy the Steam version, buy the PS4 version. At least the PS4 version should work. And even if ya do end up gettin' it to work, the gameplay's pretty basic, but not terrible. It's, "ok-ish." Ok, end of rant. I'm tired as of this writing. So, I don't give a crap. lol
This game is trash
Its a fun but basic 2.5D platformer! A few notes: I like the lives system reseting the lives for each stage, and turning the shirt 1ups from Bubsy 1 into essentially a 1 hit shield, then turning into lives like in the original once you got one! I like the incentive to collect as much wool as you can! The character designs are GREAT and I LOVE the dialogue provided by the bubster! But also, this game lacks identity! The reason I even tried Bubsy 1 despite disliking classic sonic games is because of its fun and unique artstyle! This game feels cheaply and quickly but together, even if it made some thoughtfull cool improvements! The new pounch move is great, and I love the quality of lives improvements! I also like the lack of a momentum system, since I HATED that in Mania.. This is the most accesible Bubsy to date, but it does lack the heart and creativity that the original had in its art direction.. I would also love for an inclusion of a mechanic that difficult players find harder to master, but is optional for the casual player!
the games shaders made all the enemies and collectibles invisible terrible ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game
Тот случай когда фраза "what could possibly go wrong?"
It's a good game, but it lacks challenge and the variety that the previous games had. And it's short enough to finish in an hour or less. A "quick game before I gotta go to bed because I have work in the morning" turned into an entire playthrough because I just blew through the entire thing. But despite that, the controls feel smoother than they did in previous Bubsy games, and the pounce mechanic is actually a lot of fun. It's good to see the Bubsy series making little improvements. Skippable if you're looking for more of a challenge, though. I understand the previous games were too frustrating, but I think they over-corrected the problem in some ways. I do hope the pounce mechanic becomes a mainstay in more Bubsy games going forward, it just makes so much sense for the character and it's a lot of fun to get a pounce combo going against several mid-air enemies. Bubsy 2 is still my favorite in the series, but Woolies Strike Back is a close second. Fun for a casual romp, though it might not have enough content for the price to some people.
Oyun hatalarla dolu. Basite kaçılan bölüm tasarımı ve düşmanları geçtim. Oyunda toplamamız gereken ip yumaklarını bile adam akıllı göstermiyor. Biraz oynadım ama ikinci patrona gelince hatalar canıma tak etti. Bubsy'nin iyi oyunu çıktığını göremeyeceğiz belli ki.
