Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

I am a simple man I love potatoes.
Brotato is more of a cute distraction than it is a fun game, but don't let that deter you from giving it a try if you like the genre and that's what you're after. For me personally, it feels lacking in the exploration and roguelite elements that kept me coming back for another round of similar action/bullet hail games like Vampire Survivors and Binding of Isaac. All you do is survive each 60-second wave by mashing the WASD keys to evade enemies while your various weapons automatically fire on the purple alien mobs rushing you. Lather, rinse, repeat for all the waves. It's more like a mini-game than a whole game, but if you grab it on sale, maybe that will suffice for you. Yes, you can get a lot of adorable items like the catling gun that fights alongside you, and the hedgehog you wear on your head, but it doesn't change the fact that you're perpetually stuck in the same brown dirt square fighting (mostly) the same aliens over and over again until you win or they overtake you. You do start getting more beefed up versions of the mobs by Wave 8 or so, but with the exception of the bosses, they felt generic and forgettable. The one enjoyable part is the Shop. It can feel satisfying when the Shop RNG finally gives you the weapon you need to upgrade your build, or an item that synergizes well with your strengths. But then you're back to the dirt square to WASD around more purple aliens, and the concept wears thin quickly. The 3 best things I can say they got right are: the artwork, respecting your time, and respecting your hard drive space. But the experience didn't stick with me, and I didn't feel compelled to try ramping up the difficulty or playing through all the characters. It's not a game I would refund, but definitely one to uninstall and then go read a book.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Completely worth the price, even when off-sale, it'll be worth the $5 with the amount of replayability. Suggestion for players, get the 'multiplayer zoom mod', which expands your FoV to the entire playable grid like in multiplayer, it definitely helps!
I bought a Steam Deck thinking that I could finally play games in my backlog that I’ve been collecting for years but haven’t got a chance to play. I end up playing Brotato almost exclusively on my Steam Deck instead. No regrets really. A fun game indeed. Each character is like a new puzzle to be solved. You don’t gain permanent power or perks as you play the game, though new characters and new items or weapons can be unlocked progressively. Highly recommended.
Brotato is good. I didn't quite have the magnetic, addictive pull to this that I had to its close cousin in Vampire Survivors, but it is certainly a tight, entertaining experience. While not as purely imaginative, I enjoy Brotato's bold-lined, cutesy art style far more than the pixel-throwback style of Vampire Survivors, which does a lot to carry it. The music is also superior, although Brotato seems to suffer from a lack of variety on that front. There's enough here to unlock and enough different play styles to keep one engaged. This is a perfect Steam Deck game for me; it runs superbly well and is a great pick-up and put-down title when you have a few minutes to kill, or simply want to turn your brain off for a while after a hectic, stressful day. Recommended to folks who enjoy roguelites or bullet heaven. Solid game. 🧾 Feel free to follow my Curator page if you like my reviews.
My first introduction into rougelike games and I'm loving it! The music is lit, too.
