Mainly created by a team of 5 people, Broken Pieces is the first game to come out of the French game development studio Elseware Experience.
When Elise and her fiancé decided to leave urban life and settle near the French coast, she could not imagine that she would end up completely alone.
Now, surrounded by strange phenomena in a dark, post-Cold War climate, Elise will have to investigate and unravel the mysteries surrounding the region of Saint-Exil, its ritualistic cult, and its lighthouse overlooking the coast.
Broken Pieces is an action-packed investigative and adventure video game set in France. Donc pensez a sauvegarder souvent !
Broken Pieces is a psychological thriller adventure set in a moody, isolated French coastal village. It blends exploration, light puzzle-solving, and narrative-driven investigation, with a strong emphasis on atmosphere and tension. The game’s pacing can feel slow and its gameplay somewhat repetitive, but its eerie setting and mystery-driven story carry the experience. Score: 7.5/10
it's kinda interesting...until u stuck with an controls. Controls are bad. Really bad. It's bad on keyboard and mouse, it's bad on gamepad of all sorts. It's just bad on every minute detail. Perfectly bad. And that ihas enough frustrated me to just drop the game... the damn first time, when I've rage quitted the game coz of controls... please, just don't. Better play this game on youtube
Do not buy this game. It's currrent state is in "broken pieces". I want to tell you my experience so you can save yourself from this time consuming waste of a game. I booted the game up excited because the idea of a resident evil game where you can explore different things on different days sounded interesting. I couldn't even get past the tutorial. I would get to the shooting section and my character would refuse to shoot. As it turns out if you do the over the shoulder view and jump down to the shooting section part of the tutorial it won't work. You can't reboot to fix it you have start a whole new save and make sure to not jump down. WHAT?! Then I thought foolishly my problems would be over. I actually really started to get into the game's story and played for about and hours or so. When I came to play it the next day the only option I had was start a new save. I looked in my cloud saves and they seemed ok but no matter what the game would not recognize I had played it. At that point the only choice I felt to save myself from future woes was to put the game down. Like old yeller. It seems like a fun game but by God it is impossible to play.
Broken Pieces is a narrative-driven adventure set in a strange, isolated coastal town, mixing exploration, puzzles, light combat, and a strong sense of mystery. You’re slowly trying to understand what happened to the place — and why you’re stuck there. What I really liked is the atmosphere. The town feels empty, uneasy, and quietly unsettling, and the story keeps you curious without spelling everything out. Exploration and investigation are clearly the focus, and even when gameplay feels a bit rough around the edges, the mood carries it through. It’s the kind of game that works best if you’re there for mystery, ambiance, and slow discovery rather than polished mechanics or action.
