I'm not one of those idiots who buys the game and writes a review saying "Ai slop" then immediately refunds it like some of the .1hr negative reviews I'm seeing. The story and art are total garbage. I felt like I was being treated like a toddler whenever ANY dialogue or character came up. Absolutely horrendous. "Cute" animals in this style and this style of sci-fi could never mix. Stylistic whiplash. Please hire an art director. Maybe make a paid "premium" DLC that promises to take that funding and put it towards human artists to make proper sprites. But the gameplay, the gameplay is phenomenal. The POE skill tree you put in is great. I especially love that you put in proper calculations for everything to demonstrate the delta of making x choice in it. Got some of my friends to play it because of how unexpectedly fun it was. Surprisingly this is one of the most entertaining games I've played all year.
The game is pretty fun, but the grind quickly becomes too boring. It is basically a glorified incremental game - which is not bad on its own. I would leave a positive review, if the game wasnt plagued by AI Art. I understand that a solo dev might not have the knowledge and abilities to create his own art, but even with free sprites i would deem this game looking better. When dev will start changing his mind and swapping out art, i will gladly change the review.

Sorry to say that i fell for the comparisons to POE. Its honestly good until about level 40 then falls flat. I wouldn't recommend this if it was free.
PoE in space very good
A kinder, gentler Path of Exile (for the full release, I hope the developer ditches the AI assets and expands the endgame)
Great game. I'd like to see the dev take this idea into absurd levels of complexity in a sequel or DLC. I'm talking thousands of levels and billions of unique combinations.
Excellent game
I’m a player from China, and I’ve spent over 30 hours on Astroloot — I just can’t put it down! This game perfectly captures the charm of top-down sci-fi ARPGs. The fast-paced bullet hell battles and relaxing exploration complement each other wonderfully. The build customization is incredibly rich. Choose from three distinct ships, explore a huge skill tree and craft gear with flexible modifier slots. What I love most is the dice crafting system — no blind luck, every change is under your control. You can enjoy the game alone or play with friends in co-op. The art style and soundtrack are fantastic, and it works great on both regular PCs and portable devices even for us players with average setups. If you like games like Path of Exile, Vampire Survivors or Risk of Rain, give Astroloot a try. All Chinese gamers, this game is well worth your money and time!
This game is incredible. Slay the spire with space ships. tons of gear and different build variety. No cheese thrown in the mix to complicate things. LOVE IT
PoE-lite in space. Feels like it needs some more content, depth, qol etc... But core game play, end game mechanics, and craft (which amounts to basically 80% of an rpg) are fun. For the price of a stash tab in PoE it offers a good amount of gameplay time. I cannot wait for more content from the devs.
