This is a great game, absolutely fun and addictive. Why should you buy it? - There's lots of fun and viable build designs. This isn't a game with only 2-3 winning strategies. - Amazing boss designs with unique feel and mechanics. You'll have to observe, think, adapt and be creative to defeat them. - Lots of replayability, stuff to unlock, etc. - You can make absolutely crazy builds with some creativity and luck. - Simple mechanics, but with a lot of depth. - Flavorful random events. - Lots of hidden easter eggs. - Pretty artwork. /!\ WARNING /!\ 1. DO NOT ENABLE MOUSE CONTROL UNLESS YOU ABSOLUTELY CAN'T USE KEYBOARD 2. LEARN TO USE RECALLS 3. READ EVERYTHING ON THE SCREEN 4. HIGHER RESET THRESHOLD IS GOOD
The game might not have super fancy graphics but the mechanics are very fun. I definitely reccomend it! As someone that has experimented with making games, I think I have a sense of how hard it is to actually keep yourself motivated all the way to finishing a game. Mad respect!
Good...! I have played for a while and the game has its own charm.
Imagine Peglin but with more proactive ball mechanics: it's not just the usual Arkanoid mechanic, but the new bricks (which come as loot from battles) increase battle engagement. I bit struggled with a Hydra boss, but probably, I just need to adjust and be more patient with where the ball goes :x So, in summary:

+ good roguelite experience
+ several heroes with different approaches
+ unique gameplay (Arkanoid + auto battler)
- graphics is quite simplistic (IMHO)
- hard to adjust to gameplay (my personal skill issue :D)
- maybe price? I dunno...

Overall, a good game that needs more attention.
Cheers!
its like peglin but you need skill
Fantastic little game that feels alot like Peglin but with brick break. The classes are diverse enough to provide their own unique gameplay (along with bosses providing class specific relics for upgrades). The elite enemies all bring their own unique challenges as well. The refresh mechanic is well done with the player having alot of control over how hard it is to refresh the bricks on the board as long as they are willing to give up the resources to do so. Overall, I'd say if you enjoy roguelites and brick breaker this is a really good fusion of the two.
Great mix of roguelike and arcade, truly a unique experience. +++ for responsive dev considering all feedback, as well as being committed to further growing the game with improvements and free content, the upcoming graphics update is looking awesome.
The Devs managed to rpg Arkanoid and I'm all for it. Did you grow up in the 90's and appreciate pong and Arkanoid, do you like power options and classes, if that is the case you will like this game.
Do not let the graphics fool you!!!! Brick Odyssey is 100% a hidden gem; well, I have said part of the game bugs me. I really enjoy the game, and the new updates are adding many incredible things. This game may look like Peglin, but it is definitely not Peglin. Brick Odyssey is a brick-breaker game. That turns the classic Breakout into an exciting new experience. It is extremely unique, with the fights being super animated and in real-time combat. You have to really learn the Mechanics for each battle to overcome them because some fights are a lot harder than others. You are going to take damage. The real-time combats in this game makes it a little complex but also keeps you on your toes, meaning that you have to have the skill to keep on hitting and thriving to win. You might not even be able to pay attention to the enemies too much you might just want to pay attention to the board in many fights. Yet, always read the tips on the right side of the game before you start the fight by firing your ball. I totally do this. When I first started playing, I did not know that you could recall the ball, yet there are going to be times that you're going to run out of recalls, and you're going to take damage. This is just inevitable unless you have things to avoid it. The balance changes have fixed many of my complaints in the past, so the only real thing I have an issue with now, which is more skill-based, is refreshing the board and leading to sometimes dying because I do not have enough bricks or they're just in an awkward location. Also, some fights can work the opposite way completely. There are multiple characters to unlock and choose from, each with a different playstyle. There are also many builds you can win with. Poison is my favorite right now. There are relics that give you special bonuses or effects. These things called curse bricks in this game. Well, that might not seem good. You can actually make a build around it. I've never tried because I take so much damage, but the dev has a video out on it, so I know it works. Since I started playing this in the beta, the dev has dramatically improved this game, and I look forward to seeing what the future brings.
