Breach: The Archangel Job

I don't often write reviews for games, but Breach: The Archangel Job was sufficiently excellent that I decided to make an exception. The story that the game presents over the course of a playthrough is absolutely fantastic. The characters and events are tremendously compelling and my attention was captured from the very beginning. The dice-rolling mechanism used in the game to add an element of randomness to the outcomes of your choices is something that I was initially quite unsure about, but after playing through the first chapter or so I found that I actually really enjoyed the system. It never radically changes the choice you made, but instead adds a bit of flavour to it which is different each time. The number of different ways that events can progress seems considerable as well. Although I'm sure the overall arc of the story will remain the same regardless of your choices, there's a lot of points where your choices can clearly lead to several different branches within the chapter. I fully intend to replay the game to explore some of the options I didn't choose on my first run at the game. One point to be aware of is that this game is very clearly the first part of a much larger story, and the game ends on a "To be continued" note. If you're looking for a game that wraps up its story without sequels, it may be worth waiting for the continuation of this series before playing Breach: The Archangel Job. Overall, Breach: The Archangel job is a game that gets my whole-hearted recommendation, and it's one that has me eagerly awaiting the sequel!

I've got to say, these kind of games are starting to grow on me. Would play another game like this.

Yeah, it's a great. Definitely one of the best choose you own adventure story/games. This is only book 1 out of 3 though. It's gonna take at least a few more years to have a completed trilogy.

I wanna romance the others but Gabriel pulls me in every time. Some of the fails are hilarious but because of them, I worship the checkpoints. This is def worth playing over and over and over again.

Ending was stretched out and unsatisfying with no conclusion.
