I almost finished the game, but unfortunately lost my save. I think that the game has a pretty relaxed vibe overall, and it can be fun. I find it pretty boring overall though, and I think Borderlands 2 is a vastly superior game. Still, if you liked the other Borderlands games, I can't tell you that this won't be worth it for you. If you're new to the series, I recommend just starting with either Borderlands 2 or The Pre-Sequel, those two are excellent. To me, this specific game is quite mediocre, all things considered.
Thank you so much RANDY PICHFORK.

Bug-ridden mess. We have three separate PCs in the house for playing multiplayer games. Whether or not Borderlands games will run on any given PC is a dice-roll. Which PCs it boots on today could change form the last time we tried, with no rhyme or reason. But that's par the course for Gearbox games. Garbage.
literally none of the characters are likeable or fun or entertaining and i hate all of them and also the writers. also they stole this entire game from indie artists because gearbox is comprised entirely of talentless hacks with no skills
I got this on sale on Switch and played it feverishly. It felt really difficult and rough, but the gameplay loop of upgrading gear was really addictive. Through pure attrition, I 100%ed the game. Then I remembered, I owned this on Steam. Booted it up out of curiosity. MOUSE AND KEYBOARD IS AMAZING. I WAS A FOOL. This game rules. It's a little crusty with age, but the loop is solid and the co-op experience is raaaad!
Scooter is so much better in BL1 than 2 qwq
I played this game, as well as the second Borderlands, on Xbox back when it first came out. It was a fun game then, and it continues to be fun today. I really like the combat and I especially enjoyed Jakob's Cove. Having a choice of characters gives you some nice replayability, as you can use different tactics when fighting bosses and mobs. Overall, the graphics look good and the game is just plain fun. I'd highly recommend you pick it up and give it a try.
In 2026, it does show its age a bit, but still a good game. if your looking to dive deep into borderlands and play from the beginning, this game is still enjoyable and playable. its fun to see where this franchise started.
