Looter-Shooter fun with a good story and no pointless time-wasting garbage in it like the sequels. This makes me prefer it to the sequels in the series, but that's just me. No bad@ss points to farm via silly chores. No vault symbols to hunt for, wasting hours of your life that you'll never get back. Start the game, shoot things, level up and enjoy the story (which is much better than the Borderlands 3 story!). It takes a playthrough, then meet the final boss in Playthrough 2 to get to 'Playthrough 2.5' where everything is within 2 levels of your level. However, this doesn't start with a brand new playthrough and the game just plays with everything scaling. If you played this on console years ago, I suggest using WillowTree and making a level 34 character with 130 inventory and 33-66 skill points and start on Playthrough 2. At level 34 and completing the dlc, you'd have 33 skill points; 66 if you want to max the skill tree out after completing the dlc in Playtrhough 2. There is a red chest on top a building where you spawn, then another red chest before entering Fyrestone. They spawn guns that go up to level 34, from what I noticed...so I suggest a new character starting at level 34. If you plan to play with 4 characters and need to beat the game twice to play it on its hardest setting for the best loot...might as well just skip the first playthrough, so you save yourself a few weeks of time, between 4 characters.
