"Premium game made for premium gamers" - Douche Nozzle https://youtu.be/KifbS7fclGw?si=g3YxUuRJa1nBF0Z3&t=342 On the Recent accusations from the Gearbox Software CEO, saying people to fix your issues and use DLSS, I'am changing all my Reviews toward Borderlands Games Permanently to not Reccomended. These Series is not Worth your Time nor your money even if it's on a 99% off, do not support this group of Developers, they are vampires that do not care about customer service and only blame players for any performance issues or par-experience you have with their games. So, as a God Loving Man i shall Not Reccomend this game Now or Ever till the End of Times. Support Gamer Rights, not the Heartless Companies. Insight: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rv3FxbBUcVM

Game was good back in the day, but the issue is it's a co-op shooter that you can't play co-op anymore. You have to do ridiculous workarounds to maybe connect with friends some of the time so for the most part you are forced to play the game solo. Playing borderlands 1 solo feels like walking through a themepark with nobody there, eerie and disjointed from it's intended purpose. Compared to later borderlands games the quests can feel a bit fetch questy and literal payed for DLC's at the time of release like Mad Moxxi's require you to play for anywhere between 3-6 hours depending on level and gear without so much as a break to go to the toilet all for loot that you could get 2 minutes into the game. Luckily the enhanced edition fixes the connection issues but still suffers with bad gameplay loops that are indicative of it's time. I honestly don't understand why the achievements for this game are not just auto unlocked by playing the enhanced edition as for those who are completionists being forced to play this outdated version tediosly grinding away to get the achievements you already have all over again just feels awful. The issue is aswell is that because there is an enhanced edition in the first place this game this game has been left as a relic of a bygone time. No updates, no bug fixes, no fixing of major gameplay mechanics like the coop, no quality of life improvements such as simple things like a fov slider forcing people to script in there own as to not have the game feel like you are looking through fishtank glass. I would recommend to you that if you have the enhanced edition, it's not worth farming the achievements for this game, especially since some of the coop requiring achievements may just be inaccessible anymore if you can't say get a LAN game going with not 1 but 2 different friends to work around the broken matchmaking. Better to sit this one out.

UKR
ПО DLC: Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution Найкраще DLC, яке ми проходили першим. 100 %. The Secret Armory of General Knoxx DLC. The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned DLC 6.3/10
ENG
My friend and I completed the game, and here’s what I can say about it. At first I wasn’t impressed with the gameplay, and especially the graphics, but over time I got used to it and it became more or less fine. Still, I didn’t get the emotions from this game that I could have gotten. I’ll say it in advance: the game is very specific and not everyone will enjoy it. I would never have played through this game on my own. I didn’t really like the story, and the final boss is complete garbage. I understand the game is old, but the enemy hitboxes are ridiculously designed — sometimes you shoot directly at the body and still don’t hit the enemy. There is a lot of long running between locations and within the same location back and forth, which takes a lot of time. The locations themselves are often very empty. Many quests are repetitive. Positive aspects — there is a really large variety of weapons, some side quests are decent, and there is a kind of unique humor. ABOUT DLC: Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution The best DLC we played, and we played it first. This DLC is better than the main story. There are a lot of jokes, references, and humor. From the name you can already tell that it’s about a robot revolution. So it’s definitely worth playing. The Secret Armory of General Knoxx Also a very good DLC. It’s quite long and also better and more interesting than the main story. There’s humor, a decent plot, although there is still a lot of running around. I also recommend playing it. Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot I don’t recommend this DLC to anyone, ever. It’s a complete waste of time. You fight in an arena against waves of very repetitive mobs and get basically nothing for it. There’s no real story. And to complete it you need to spend up to 10 hours. We finished about half of it, got mentally burned out, and dropped the DLC. The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned Overall this DLC is average. We reached it when we were already overleveled, so we finished it very easily — mobs and bosses were getting one-shotted. Because of that I recommend playing this DLC as early as possible so you won’t be overleveled. The story is okay, there is some humor, so it’s not worth skipping. (I described the DLC in the order we played them) Overall, except for Moxxi, the DLCs are better than the main game. 6.3/10
Stylistically unique and father of the looter shooter genre. Setting some time aside with a friend to run through any one of these games is a good time. Sure, you might not be in the mood for the humor every day but they're light hearted games designed to be played in good faith and in good company. Better with friends, a bit hard to play and creepy alone in the year 2026. ---------------------------------------------------------------- 9/10
