An awesome way to revisit Pandora! It's best to view this as more camera mod rather than a full on vr experience as it's not AS immersive as say other vr fps's, but if you're a borderlands fan it's definitely worth picking up. The npc's scale a little weird, aiming down sights is a bit of a let down as it just puts a reticle on screen rather than letting the player look down weapons with a scope( you also can't really interact with the weapons as the reloading is done for you and ads is done via a button press rather than putting the weapon up to your eyes), and the cutscenes just play the ones from the base game which does take you out of the immersion just a bit. Playing this over steam link with my quest 2 didn't work all that great though I chalk that up to problems with the meta software rather than the game, but even then I recommend playing this with a wired connection if you can. All that said it's still borderlands 2 so it's still one of the best ARPG's of all time. The art style of borderlands 2 works incredibly well in vr and the gameplay is still incredibly addicting. The new BAMF ability does help a lot in keeping you from getting overwhelmed when fighting big groups of enemies + makes me feel like I've got the dead eye ability from another really good western shooter. The environments are a ton of fun to look around and explore; even more so when you're in a vehicle as for me that's when I really feel like I'm on pandora ripping past skags and bandits while they take pot shots at me. Going through borderlands 2 in vr definitely changes the way you play as well. Thankfully the game never made me feel motion sick ( even when I was boosting in vehicles) but since I can't move the same way I would on the normal game I ended up playing a lot safer ; hiding behind cover and taking advantage of the bamf + deception ( zero's ability which puts out a decoy to distraction) abilities to get into better positions. I also ended up using different weapons than I normally would since the ads isn't the most fun to use with scoped weapons, I instead used it more as a fire rate toggle on weapons that increased fire rate when ads as well as prioritized getting guns that had higher magazine capacities. At the time of writing I've yet to grind for any legendary weapons so I can't comment on that but I'd imagine it'll be all the more satisfying since I PHYSICALLY am gonna have to fight for those drops. All in all I'd def recommend picking this up if you want to go to pandora with a new way to experience it or if you're completely new to the series and a front row seat to the action.

Música6Cumple; no molesta, no siempre brilla.

tricky to start but fun aspeshloy looking around exploring every where agen but in vr
Borderlands 2 VR is a virtual reality adaptation of one of the most celebrated looter-shooters of its generation, developed by Gearbox Software and published by 2K. Rather than simply recreating the original experience, the game places players directly into the chaotic world of Pandora, transforming the familiar adventure into a far more personal and immersive journey. The core premise remains unchanged: players step into the role of a Vault Hunter, travel across dangerous wastelands, gather mountains of increasingly absurd weaponry, and confront the infamous Handsome Jack. What changes dramatically is the perspective, as virtual reality allows players to experience every firefight, explosion, and encounter from inside the action itself. The game’s greatest strength lies in how effectively its fast-paced combat translates into VR. Borderlands 2 was already known for its addictive shooting mechanics and seemingly endless supply of weapons, and these elements gain new life when players physically aim and fire their arsenal. Every weapon category feels more engaging because combat relies on natural movement rather than traditional mouse or controller inputs. Close-range battles become more intense, long-distance sniping feels more rewarding, and the sheer spectacle of massive firefights is amplified by the sense of presence that virtual reality provides. The signature cel-shaded art style also proves to be a perfect fit for the format, giving Pandora a colorful and distinctive appearance that remains visually appealing despite the game’s age. The world itself continues to be one of the franchise’s strongest assets. Pandora is packed with memorable locations, bizarre characters, dangerous wildlife, and a constant stream of humorous dialogue. Exploring these environments in VR creates a stronger connection to the setting than the original version could achieve. Familiar areas feel larger and more detailed when viewed from a first-person virtual perspective, while character interactions gain additional personality because players are standing directly in front of the game’s eccentric cast. The storytelling remains entertaining throughout, largely thanks to the unforgettable presence of Handsome Jack, whose mix of humor and cruelty continues to make him one of gaming’s most memorable antagonists. Another major advantage is the sheer volume of content available. Borderlands 2 was already famous for offering a lengthy campaign supported by countless side missions, extensive character progression, skill customization, rare loot drops, and challenging boss encounters. The VR version retains this enormous amount of content, ensuring players receive a full-scale role-playing shooter experience rather than a condensed adaptation. Additional downloadable content further expands the adventure, introducing more locations, missions, and opportunities to strengthen characters. For players seeking long-term value, there is enough content here to remain engaging for dozens of hours. The game also incorporates features specifically designed to make virtual reality gameplay more enjoyable. Combat and movement systems have been adjusted to accommodate VR hardware, and various comfort options help reduce potential motion discomfort for players sensitive to virtual movement. Vehicle sections, a staple of the Borderlands series, feel particularly different in VR, creating a stronger sensation of speed and scale as players race through Pandora’s open regions. These additions demonstrate that the developers made a genuine effort to adapt the experience for virtual reality rather than simply porting the original game with minimal changes. Despite its many strengths, Borderlands 2 VR is not without shortcomings. Certain interface elements can feel cumbersome compared to modern VR titles, and some gameplay systems reveal their origins as mechanics originally designed for traditional controls. While the immersion is impressive, there are moments where menu navigation, inventory management, and specific control schemes feel less polished than experiences created exclusively for VR from the beginning. These issues do not ruin the game, but they occasionally interrupt the otherwise smooth flow of exploration and combat. Visually, the game remains surprisingly effective years after its original release. The stylized presentation avoids many of the aging issues that affect realistic graphics, allowing Borderlands 2 VR to maintain a unique and appealing identity. Explosive effects, enemy designs, and environmental variety all contribute to a world that feels vibrant and alive. The artistic direction continues to stand out among VR shooters, helping the game retain its charm long after many of its contemporaries have faded from memory. Borderlands 2 VR succeeds because it preserves everything that made the original game popular while adding a level of immersion that only virtual reality can provide. Although some design elements show their age and the VR implementation is not flawless, the combination of addictive loot hunting, satisfying combat, memorable storytelling, and a richly detailed world creates a compelling package. For fans of the Borderlands franchise and VR enthusiasts alike, it offers a unique opportunity to experience one of the genre’s most beloved adventures from an entirely new perspective. Rating: 7/10
