Bonnie Bear Saves Frogtime

Another absolute Bonte Avond banger 🔥🔥 as always, the humor is exactly the right amount of cheesy, the vibes are extremely cozy, the story is heartwarming but not afraid to get vulnerable and real (in fact, that's the whole POINT of this story), and the songs are incredibly catchy. Bonnie is a wonderful character to follow and their arc is extremely well done, but the supporting cast is also so endearing. However, the biggest strength of this game is frogtime itself - while in a perfect world I'd wish for a full Pokémon-style box system, once you get over the fact that your frogs are not forever you can have a lot of fun crafting different builds, and the battle system is way more complex and strategic than I first expected. Definitely my favorite cozy narrative comedy musical tactical frog RPG, although perhaps I'm a bit biased 🌛

Incredible game, sleeper hit with endearing characters, great story, and an incredibly fun central game mechanic. A very comforting journey from start to finish! The game centers around "Frog Time" which is the game within the game, and the core of the actual gameplay. It's genuinely so fun with a lot of depth into it, constructing your own team of frogs and planning your own strategies was such a fun gameplay loop. It's kind of like a card game/board game! Besides the central game mechanic, the story is very endearing, and such a joy to follow! This game also has incredible humor, love a lot of the jokes the game included. The characters are certainly the highlight along with the gameplay, very defined personalities that will warm your heart. The characters tell very emotionally mature stories of growing and introspection, reminds me a lot of journeys I discovered in therapy, it was quite healing to see it in this story. After 100%'ing the game and getting all the achievements, I'm genuinely sad that it's all over. It's such a comforting game with an addicting core gameplay mechanic, 10/10 would definitely recommend. Hope more of this game is to come!!!
