Humorous, fun, teaches lessons. Has a literal bear! What's not to love about it? But seriously, easy and fun game that almost anyone will enjoy.
a really lovely game, fun game mechanics and a great story make this a really pleasant time highly recommend you play this game
cool game
normally i dont write reviews. as a dutch person who likes strategy games i cant recomend this game enough. the humor might not be for everyone but i genuinely found my self laughing tho it is very dutch coded and might not be to dry for some people. the game is very heart felt with a suprisingly thought out battle system which i can only really discribe as checkers but better. also the music is great and fun. standouts for me are frogtime, in to deep and familee.
Yeah I don't know what I expected but... IT IS SO AWESOME! Honestly, this game was so much fun. I'm slightly addicted to frogtime now and have all kinds of songs in my head. I even think that my mods will never get rid of the Rik Spek song in their heads xD Great wholesome story, awesome and partly silly music, heartwarmingly stupid humour and a whole strategic gacha game universe inside a game. Can't wait for your next project, guys! And please let me voice something in the games to come even if it is a f*cking tree xD ~ Rik Spek...look at my six pack... Rik Spek... hmm look at my six pack...~
As someone who grew up on the Yu-Gi-Oh show, I'm a big fan of this.
Apart from the fact that this game is really good and great fun, it also redefined, for me, what a game can be. @BonteAvond: thank you for making this. ps.: Would have liked more tiny circus acts, Jan K. is worth it ;)
I'll just tell you one thing: Don't bring the tuba.
After playing Once Upon a Jester I had to pick this up. There's good and bad depending on the kind of games you like. On the one hand it's another funny story with a lot of heart and meaning behind it. On the other omg it's too much frogtime. I found myself wanting to enjoy the story and just please no more frogtime, oh no it's more frogtime. I didn't enjoy it as much as Sok and Jester. The songs were more catchy and fun. I mean after Pesto, it's all downhill what with all the oil. I felt like Jester had songs that built a world and this had songs that felt like a one line joke improvised as they went. I don't know, it just didn't fit. I loved the story but the songs felt forced, the music was very "of its time" if that time was 2018. This isn't bad or anything but be aware it's a puzzle board game with story. If you're not a fan of board games this isn't going to be fun. It's a lot of playing the frogtime game. I really want to replay the game and get the achievements but the majority of the gameplay is frogtime and repeating frogtime until you win all the frogtime and it's so much. With all of the jokes and references to the previous games honestly if you didn't play any of them a lot of stuff will go over your head. Also you'll enjoy this less. At the very least play Once Upon a Jester before you play this. You'll be happy you did. Oh Gieregruit you were my life the Stad city mayor had my songs and I loved to play them all niiiight.
I usually don't write reviews, but Bonnie Bear Saves Frogtime is an amazing game! While the game is relatively short, it was a blast from beginning to end. Love the gameplay mechanics of Frogtime, the characters, voice acting, story, and all! I just went and downloaded the whole album in Spotify, because the songs are amazing as well!
