Incredible game, sleeper hit with endearing characters, great story, and an incredibly fun central game mechanic. A very comforting journey from start to finish! The game centers around "Frog Time" which is the game within the game, and the core of the actual gameplay. It's genuinely so fun with a lot of depth into it, constructing your own team of frogs and planning your own strategies was such a fun gameplay loop. It's kind of like a card game/board game! Besides the central game mechanic, the story is very endearing, and such a joy to follow! This game also has incredible humor, love a lot of the jokes the game included. The characters are certainly the highlight along with the gameplay, very defined personalities that will warm your heart. The characters tell very emotionally mature stories of growing and introspection, reminds me a lot of journeys I discovered in therapy, it was quite healing to see it in this story. After 100%'ing the game and getting all the achievements, I'm genuinely sad that it's all over. It's such a comforting game with an addicting core gameplay mechanic, 10/10 would definitely recommend. Hope more of this game is to come!!!
An absolute gem with a massive heart! Bonte Avond has done it again. Bonnie Bear Saves Frogtime is easily the most fun I’ve had with a video game in ages. It is incredibly cozy, hilarious, and full of charm. The story is lovely, the atmosphere is pure joy, and the world is packed with wonderfully strange and funny characters. Even the frog minigame: which takes a little practice to master, is an absolute blast once it clicks. You can feel the love and joy the developers poured into every corner of this game. Highly, highly recommended! My only real negative remark is about the final boss fight. It is incredibly hard, almost impossible to beat unless you have the perfect frog roster!
I'm conflicted about this game. I like the core mechanic of frog time a lot, but you hardly ever get to play it. There's endless swaths of quirky dialogue or musical minigames between each match. Those things are fine as a garnish, but they're like 90% of the play time. I'm 2 hours in and I've played maybe ten matches of frog time. I think the designers are worried that frog time will get stale after enough plays, which is valid. But the ratio of frog time to talking time is way off. This could be a great puzzle game, but it's absolutely drowning in indie wholesomeness. I don't care that the bear was depressed last year, or about the zany church. I want to play frog time. Give me frogs. I feel like I should give this game a bad review because I'm not going to finish it. But can you give a game a bad review if you like its central mechanic?
Bonnie Bear Saves Frogtime is such a hidden gem. I haven't even played through the entire story yet, but this game deserves a review! The one take voiceovers are hilarious and never fail to catch me off guard. The actual frogtime challenge dynamic is super enjoyable and fun to learn. I also love the blind box aspect of unlocking the different types of frogs. This all comes together to create a wholesome, funny, and wonderful game experience that I can't wait to finish <3
Game is so fun. Would recommend it. Cute little moments that make this game super fun.
an absolutely charming feel-good cozy game that really cheered me up, i love the songs!!!! SIX PACKKKK, LOOK AT MY SIX PACK! i really loved the gameplay, wish we could collect even more frogs hehe
Game of the year! 2026
this might be the weirdest game ive ever played. that being said. i enjoyed it. frogtime is all the time.
It's FROGTIME! What stands out to me the most is the absolutely hilarious and great voice acting. The story and Bonnie's character development really touched me as well, as I feel like I'm also going through a rough patch in life.
I usually don't write reviews, but Bonnie Bear Saves Frogtime is an amazing game! While the game is relatively short, it was a blast from beginning to end. Love the gameplay mechanics of Frogtime, the characters, voice acting, story, and all! I just went and downloaded the whole album in Spotify, because the songs are amazing as well!
