It's a lot of fun and some of the levels are crazy hard.
Super fun puzzler! Like Corey Martin's previous game Hiding Spot, I like the how the game is built around a strange, melancholy story mechanic (here, of burning your belongings for an unknown reason). The puzzle design is lovely, lots of clever ideas; and I love how naturally completing puzzles leads into unlocking more of the overworld. Delightful game, and I feel that it's underrated in comparison to other similar thinky games I've seen - I'd say the mechanical depth and puzzle design are on par with Stephen's Sausage Roll, which is similar in form. Lastly, I loved all the little references to other puzzle games / creators sprinkled around the overworld. Saving the DLC for when I'm looking to play again - would absolutely recommend!
Incredible and challenging Sokoban style 3D puzzle game. Should be way more popular than it is. Basically a much more atmospheric and better looking version of Stephen's Sausage Roll, with possibly a bit more filler but also a gentler learning curve.
Great puzzle game in the spirit of Steven's Sausage Roll. Clear inspiration here with the box sticking out in front of you and fire involved in the puzzle goal. The game still stands on its own here with some unique mechanics that surprise me periodically. The progression of levels give a clear intro to each new mechanic or new way to use existing pieces, and then gets harder. Definitely a bunch of levels I've had to skip because I just can't figure it out yet. I've had multiple instance of coming back to puzzle and then quickly seeing the trick that I missed before (I love puzzles that seem impossible until you get the trick and then they seem obvious).

good puzzle
I was enjoying the puzzles but then had to give up because of how frustrating the controls were. Maybe it's a skill issue on my part given all the good reviews. I just expect that in a 3D environment 'up' is forward, 'down' is back, and left and right match. Simple. In this game, direction is (very counterintuitively) relative to the camera so I spent more time fighting my brain on how to move the character than I did solving puzzles. There's nothing really going on in the game art/music/story-wise to make me want to continue that fight.
Snugly beside other 3D brain-punchers like Stephen's Sausage Roll and An Architect's Adventure. Very tricky to get through all the puzzles, but the rule sets and interactions between various mechanics seem to always include some 'introductory' level before going too crazy. Gotta say, the emotional undertones here were leagues beyond what you'll find in the aforementioned peers. Climbing the mountain; observing the nostalgic vignettes; ultimately moving on via burning your belongings; all quite cathartic. I dunno if I would have appreciated it all as much without having a lot of years behind me, but I'm glad I came across this one when I did, nonetheless. Masterful stuff.
