This is a really fun puzzle game and quite challenging but relaxing at the same time, there are no timed levels! I do agree with the 'Difficult' tag they have in their store page, the game is not easy but it is not unsolvable too. The fun part that the achievements are not a spam one, you'll get them once you finish a good part of the puzzles. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1427106445 The gameplay is cool, you'll be given a word which you have to form by rotating the gears either to the left or the right, the trick is you have a specific amounts of 'turns' which sometimes you'll run out of them if you don't use them wisely or you get plenty of them left if you plan your moves. I liked that part, it made the game very enjoyable. There are many stages, you get many words starting from A to Z, the achievement will pop up once you finish a series of words from the same letter. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1427106338 I'm glad there was an option in the settings to change the screen movement because it may cause motion sickness to some people. It is a neat option but not for me. Sadly the game lacks good soundtracks, there is only one track playing the moment you launch the game until you exit it, I wish they'll add more so it wouldn't be boring to play the game for hours, especially that it is not an easy game to beat in one hour or less. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1427106528 Pros: +Challenging levels the more you advance. +Kids friendly. +More than 100 level to beat. +Good price. +Relaxing design and colors for the eyes (There is an option in the menu to disable the screen movement) +Steam achievements Cons: -Limited music. I recommend this game to people who enjoy words puzzles and up for a challenge! It is a fun game, give it a go if you are looking for a casual logic relaxing one.
Estimated reading time: 2 minutes Blueprint Word is a really nice and clever puzzle game based on some very simple mechanics. In each level, the goal is to form the target word by placing its letters at some specific locations. In order to move them to their target positions, you'll make use of all sorts of mechanisms: in most of the cases, the letters are placed around some gears that can rotate them and thus transfer them to another area of the puzzle. In latter levels, the complexity is increased by the addition of teleporters and switches whose mechanics are ingeniously combined together into more challenging levels. Playing Blueprint Word is a very relaxing experience and the levels maintain throughout the game an average grade of difficulty. There is a number of limited moves for each level, but this value is not at all restrictive, in the sense that you will always have a few extra moves available. Exception to this are the levels specially designed to teach you little tricks in solving the more complex levels - for example that you need to pay attention to the direction in which the gears rotate (one direction consuming 2 unnecessary moves) or that sometimes it's needed to plan ahead in order to place multiple letters at the same time with one single move. Not to worry though, the game has a very friendly way of making you discover them yourself. The progression is linear, in the sense that there's no option of selecting a level; if you happen to get stuck on one (which shouldn't happen anyway since none of them are extremely difficult), there is no possibility to skip it and try another level instead. It's also hard to say how many levels the game contains (I would estimate between 100 and 125) since the progression is displayed only as a percentage, in the main menu. Additionally, there are achievements triggered after completing batches of 5 levels or so, which also can give you a rough estimate of your progression. I highly recommend Blueprint Word to anyone who'd like to unwind for a couple of hours with a relaxing, moderate difficulty puzzle game. You're most likely to also enjoy the nice and chill soundtrack.
More reviews on the Lilly's Corner Curator page
Who said that minimalistic can't go along with great? :P Blueprint Word (not "world" be aware xD) is really one of the many proofs that on Steam and on other free or not free platforms, websites and so on every year one can find dozens of new and interesting ideas for what concerns logic and puzzle games. This one in particular employs a simple concept that starts from the beginning - welcomed by a soothing ambient music, you're introduced in a minimalistic blue world in which no text is involved - everything, starting from the tutorial, will be explained level by level. Ok, I wish that at least the settings screen had some text, but you can mess around with the few buttons and understand everything xD The game itself consists of screens made up by several connected gears, each one of them having four circles connected.. of course, going through the levels will broaden the concept, but that's how it generally works. The levels obviously will scale up in size, recreating 2D figures with cogs filling up many parts of the screen. For each level you're given a word to compose - you'll have the necessary letters in some of the circles, and by using the left or right mouse button (rotating the gears clockwise or counter-clockwise) you'll have to put those letters in order, recreating the word, and at the same time being aware that they're placed in the red-circled dots. Even the non-linear levels will require the word to be put into horizontal red circles. You'll always have a limited amount of moves, but there's no timer - hence you've got all the time you need to think (and the levels can be definitely difficult from time to time) and this makes the whole puzzle very relaxing in my opinion. This is also enforced by the great save function (three different save locations too) that make you stop whenever you want. Going on with the game, you'll find also teleporters and switches that will transport the letters from one side to another, adding more difficulty to the whole puzzle which manages to be always entertaining and never boring or too difficult anyways. Having about 100 different levels too adds a great chunk of replayability to this game, which is also suited for all the puzzle/logic games lovers! There are though some small negative points I can think about - one, is the lack of a "re-do" button; the move limit fortunately is always quite large so that you can mess around a bit with some extra moves, but the only thing you can do is move back any time you want with the mouse wheel or some other keyboard control (the backwards key to be more specific xD). It's definitely a great function, although if you go back for too many moves sometimes you feel the need to see which moves you've deleted, especially in the longest levels, and this isn't possible.. not a great limit, though. The second one is that you can't choose or skip a level, but this goes fine with the level progression - just make sure you're playing it and you're not taking up the game at level 50, otherwise you won't be able to go too far xD Well, as you may have understood, this game has really few flaws and most of all it's an awesome logic game, everything's balanced and anything will ever go against your level progression. The levels flow one after the other, they require some thinking and some restarts due to the move limit, but they never get frustrating and the whole minimalistic but soothing graphics (and music) compartment manages to make the experience really pleasant and relaxing. It's definitely a great puzzle/logic game in my view, perfectly realized and providing hours of fun without bugs or flaws - super recommended, given its small price too, to everyone who likes relaxing puzzle games :)
For more puzzle game reviews, news and everything puzzle-related, follow Puzzle Lovers and check out our Steam group.
end of 2019 edit: the game got a free deluxe edition, replacing the original, added some info on it, and on how to access the in my opinion superior original version to the end of the review. a simple idea: move letters around mostly by rotating cogs to create the word or words on the top of the screen. there are a few more mechanics later on, teleports, switching adjacent letters, etc. but nothing too complicated, nor challenging in the 100 or so levels, and even with the move limit the game provides a relaxing experience. you can undo as many moves as you like by moving the mouse wheel down or by clicking the backward arrow in the top right corner. I would've liked a re-do function when moving the mouse wheel up but it's not a huge drawback. the presentation is simple but effective as well, blue on white, true to its name, and the music and sound effects aren't grating either. there's a decent amount of customization, resolutions, windowed mode, swaying effect on/off and separate toggles for sound and music, but there are no volume sliders, nor a level select screen, so the only way of finding out how far along you are is by looking at the percentage on the save slot, and the only way to replay levels is by starting a new game. I ran into two more issues. clicking on 'empty' teleports uses up a move, which I thought to be a bug but it seems to be a feature. it's consistent with the other mechanics, rotating cogs with no letters around uses up a move as well but the empty teleport threw me off for some reason. the other thing is slightly more worrying, mostly because it was a bit random. the game decided after a while (and not directly after a patch) to not run from steam anymore. I wasn't the only one having the issue, had to start the game from the installation folder, then either because I restarted steam or because of something else, it started working properly again. the 100 or so levels should take about 2 or 3 hours to complete and the price is in line with other similar games coming out these days, definitely recommended if you're not looking for a really difficult puzzle game. ------ end of 2019 edit: the game got upgraded to the deluxe edition for free, it runs on unreal engine now and looks better, but right now mouse wheel doesn't work as undo (should be back soon) and based on feedback you can't rotate cogs both ways anymore, so instead of right clicking once, you have to left click three times to achieve the same thing. apparently, players didn't realize they can rotate things both ways, when in fact it was mentioned in the game and was an integral part of solving the levels. so about 60 of the levels had to be redesigned to accomodate this downgrade, and in my opinion the game is more tedious and less fun in its current state. however, you can still access the original version, just right click on the game in your library, choose preferences, then betas, then select an earlier version. be careful though, as this might screw with your progress and/or cloud saves, as the two versions store progress in different places, but both use the cloud. my advice is to try both and stick with whichever you prefer, as it's perfectly possible that without playing the original you'll be fine with how the deluxe edition works, and even find it easier (not that the game was difficult to begin with, at least in my opinion).
A trouble-free puzzle game with a variety of satisfying mechanics to try out.

Design:
The game’s design consists from calming dark blue tones combined together with simple stylized art portraying pleasing to the viewer images such as a cup of coffee and some pencils posed on a board which will be working as the main pattern of the game’s background. Blueprint Word does present a neat minimalist design permitting us to focus on the game while enjoying the experience with no feel of pressure or stress while figuring out the needed steps to take in order to clear the levels. We will face 4 different sections while proceeding with the puzzles – each one consists of 24 levels (with a total of 96 little levels to complete). The sections are created in a way the player will be introduced to different in-game mechanics. To say, once we clear one section with its assigned mechanics, in the next area we will have a different mechanism to discover that at some point will be combined with first area’s gameplay characteristics.
Gameplay:
This puzzle game consists of many adjacent gears that we will have to rotate in order to assemble different words that we will find at the upper side of screen. The gear extremities do present a slot where we can fit the scattered letters being presented in wrong order compared to what we have to get in order to clear the level. This is a turn-based game, therefore it will not simply demand the player to understand what order to take while rotating the gears, but also to be careful to not take too many ineffective moves. There is a restart button for each level, so the progress won’t be lost.
Controls:
This game does present a mouse-only gameplay. The controls are pretty simple and each time we get introduced to something new, it will be explained in a simple and understandable little tutorial with images and text while hovering the pieces, or by simply highlighting the sections that will switch the slots among each other for example. At the completion of each level the time result will be displayed showing you the taken time in order to clear the level at hand.
Featurings:
This game does feature simple yet satisfying sound effects while rotating gears and clicking on the different mechanisms we do get to use through the gameplay. While the game does start with a really relaxing pace, at some point a noticeably increased difficulty will be displayed in one of the first levels, which personally did make me await a harder challenge while advancing with levels. Unexpectedly, after the mentioned level we did go back to easy-going gameplay type and no tricky levels were faced at all. It might be a positive side of this game coming to some players, as well as it might be a negative trait to a public expecting challenges during a puzzle game. Honestly I didn’t mind playing an easy-going game of this type, but it could’ve been a tad more satisfying to spend more time while brainstorming on the moves to take during the offered levels.
Overall:
This game is recommended if you are looking for a cheap and pleasing to the eyes turn-based puzzle with no challenging levels to go through.
The game itself is OK, but it is not very challenge though (even in the later levels).
You may accidentally delete your progress because it won't warn you anything or let you confirm about it when you click on delete button. This will be a problem because you can't select any level you passed once and replay that level again.
One more series issue about the game execution: you'll failed to start the game from Steam VERY OFTEN
and if you start it by running the executable file (mw.exe) directly, it usually won't be a problem BUT you won't get any achievements from it. So if you begin playing from one save, somehow start the game directly with the executable next time and miss one achievement in game, you will NEED TO START OVER AGAIN JUST TO GET THAT ACHIEVEMENT. I think most people who want a 100% achievements won't happy about this. AND IT IS ALMOST ONE YEAR since I saw someone reported this issue BUT STILL NOT BEING FIXED YET!!
Intriguing puzzles. Arrange the Letters within limited moves. * End of Dec 2019, noticed a wipe of past achievements and 100% completion, update for game which seem to effect launch. Turned a fairly relaxed puzzle game into a rat race for Timer and No Mistakes. Broken, tedious achievements, and its Poor Sales ' Limited Profile store page '. Could struggle for hours to find out one ' or more 'achievement fails to trigger. Zero Support or response from Developer on issues. A previously ' Yes ' recommendation becomes a ' NO '. Do Not Support.
