Combined with a look and feel of being in an exotic tropical setting, the first part of this game, 2 hours long, was the most enjoyable part of Blue Tear. The visuals were gorgeous, and the puzzles were clever. I took pause at the cool acoustic guitar music with a Latino flair. This game wasn’t perfect, but based on the first part, I’d give it a solid score – 3/5. A bit on the short side, but once I completed it, I felt like it had a satisfying enough conclusion. Obviously, though, I forgot all about the goal of the story, because when the first part finished, I was half expecting credits to roll. Instead, the game continued with your character gaining access to the mansion, and it was a disappointment for miles. The second part started with an obvious reduction in production value (did the producers run out of money or what?). The graphics weren’t as polished. The sound effects and background music were super loud, irritating and unoriginal (can we get that squeaky floor a nail, please?). I pressed on, the story taking an odd turn where you are now chasing down an animated porcelain scary AF doll with screws for hair. Your task now is to find pins to push into a voodoo doll that would break the Black Wizard’s curse. In a confusing story arc, you find your friends amid the junk in the mansion half dead (possessed? I can’t be sure). Thankfully, the visuals improved from the first scene the further into the game I got. Blue Tear is quite a large game (I clocked in over 7 hours and still wasn’t done!), and the gamer explores every square inch of that property, with over 20 different areas to explore and puzzles to solve. And just when you thought you had seen it all, another part opens up to you. WOW, right? I don’t think, in all my time reviewing hidden object games, that I’ve encountered a game quite as unique in its problems as this game. Blue Tear teeters on “♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!” to literal ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Aside from the disparity in quality throughout the game, Blue Tear CRASHES. It crashes mid-play, losing progress. It crashes every time I log out of the game. It crashes CONSTANTLY. This is a documented issue with users on Steam, yet nothing has been done about it. The game’s recommended operating system is Windows 7 – perhaps it can’t handle Windows 10? In the end I could not finish the game. And that is where I leave you. Blue Tear had promise in the first part, but because of its problems, I cannot recommend it to anyone. It blows.

While the game itself was ok, the game kept crashing so i wouldn't recommend it.
A decent HOG if you manage to avoid game-breaking bugs. The story follows Jessica and her friends as they visit an old house that she appears to have inherited. But the moment her friends walked through the front door, an evil spirit awoke and imprisoned them inside. Soon after, a wizard emerges and transfers Jessica back in time to locate the magical thing needed to save her and her friends. Beginner mode allows you to play the game with faster hint recharge and marked hotspots. If you want a truly adventure experience, you can go with an expert and look for those scenes on your own. You will not be completely in the dark because the mouse pointer changes as you move over an interesting object that can be examined or picked up. A small criticism is a very small mouse pointer. It can be easily lost in colorful and cluttered scenes. Items are stored in your inventory. Similar to classic point-and-click adventure games, you use things by clicking and dragging them into the appropriate place. The majority of items can be found lying around in the scenes, however some can only be obtained by playing hidden object mini games. It sticks to a time-tested formula. You have a list of objects that must be found by either clicking on them directly or doing an additional action. These objects are identified with a blue color. Another important part are logic puzzles. These don't outstay their welcome because they don't take much work. Even if you take longer than intended, you can wait for the skip button to recharge and the challenge will be resolved immediately. The additional features include a journal in which you can gather pages from the previous owner. It also contains hints about what you should do next, but a better option is to contact your wizard pals, who will tell you exactly what to do. A map is also extremely handy. It allows you to quickly travel between any locations you've already visited. A bigger problem are occasional bugs that occur at random. Since there’s no manual save, they can completely break your game. I believe teleporting with the map could be the cause. One happened near the beginning when I used the map to quick travel to a location. I could see the cursor change, but I couldn’t interact with anything in the room or leave. I believe quick travel breaks cutscene triggers.
Неплохо. Но постоянно вылетает игра. Только проходишь мимо дома у статуи 90% что там будет вылет.
Difficult mode is lovely, then it takes time and there are a lot of good puzzels
It's okay. Some of the puzzles are a bit obtuse, but most of the game worked fine. The main issue I had was crashing. The game crashed on 5 different occasions out of nowhere. I'd recommend this title, but only on a really good sale. There are much better similar games for around the same price. Check out nearly anything by Artifex Mundi if you're looking for more quality.
