The videos from 2 and 4 years ago show a more playable game than its current version. I figured the bad reviews were all very old and there have been updates since then.... well, the updates simply made the game worse. This game is unplayable. Period. I have never been this disappointed in a game before. I played 86 minutes, and couldn't get a door, much less a full room created. This is the most unintuitive experience I have ever suffered. Dwarf fortress is easier to get going. I feel I spent more time fighting the interface than anything else. Here are more specific issues encountered 1. There is no guide for basic things, like how you have to go into one menu to build an object, then a different menu to place said object. 2. The dwarves jitter around not performing tasks most of the time, just tweaking out with the task flashing in there status. 3. Hovering over a block doesn't tell you what it is, it just pops up "hover gui" in the corner. 4. When selecting dwarves in the menu, it gets stuck on one dwarf and jumps back to that dwarf when you select a different one. 5. When the dwarves actually did something, it would flash XXXX got even experience to promote in the corner. And even spending xp was a pain. Clicked around into status to find the place to spend, but no indication what it did

dev has given up its ok he problly got a job
had this for a few years now and very little has changed, not worth the price as it's barely even an ALPHA version
Do not bother. Early videos and game play footage looked amazing. Current version is buggy as hell and it does not seem as though there is any more support or development for this game so the issues are very unlikely to be fixed.
sadly the game got ditched there are better options tbh
This game is not currently worth my time. The idea behind the game and what the trailer shows off seems really appealing, but the developer still needs to work on this game a ton before it can be actually playable in an enjoying way. Many bugs, major parts of the game don't even work properly, and the developer hasn't updated the game since June of 2021. I understand development can take a while, but they could've at least dropped some sort of fix to major issues in the game. Basically, keep an eye on the game, but until the developer actually makes this game fully playable then don't waste your money.
Feels abandoned and unrefined. It's buggy and feature poor. Hasn't been updated in ages and likely won't be.
It would be an amazing game if it wasnt for the fact that playing more than an hour in a save makes the frame rate drop to basically 0. I think if they patch that it would be amazing.
Game is abandoned and unfinished. Do not download.
I am running this on a thinkpad on linux and the main game runs decently. But as soon as you get into the Workers and employee screens the game goes down to a scrawl. Not well optimized, for such a simple game it is far too heavy on resource usage.
