If you’ve ever enjoyed tycoon or management games (or thought about trying them), check out this game. It brings together a lot of fun aspects including shop management, farming sim, and factory management in a totally stress-free, addicting way. Take my word, once you start playing, you can’t stop! The pixel art is great and the attention to detail is amazing. The music is very chill. The blubs are cute. The gameplay is well balanced in that it presents a good challenge but never one that will have you pulling out your hair. I’ve put several hours into the game so far and have loved every minute of it. Also, sometimes a Blub comes into the shop with a banana peel on its head. 10/10
Do you like colourful cute pixel graphics? A chill out game that has a bit of everything? Well, this cute game Blub Emporium game could be the keeper you are just looking for. Do not be fooled by the tutorial. It may seem easy at first but I tell you the longer you play the harder it gets as your brain gets a total workout. You start off in an empty shop by following the tutorial you should have enough blub money and a duck bush to get things rolling. From there on out your shop is ready to open. The farm and the factory will unlock by completing tasks from the list. You can expand the shop and factory quite a bit and there is more than enough items to decorate everything with. Blubs can interact with some of the things you place too. All of these areas have unique items and crops that can be purchased, earned rewards or by saving your hard earned cash you just might get a blub with a question mark above its head visiting your shop offering a spin of a wheel for a hefty price but it is worth it. Do not let the blub wait too long as it just might bounce out the door - you may just get something rare that is not able to be bought. This game has a bit of everything for everyone - decorating/furnishing, farming and machine automation with some mini puzzles games in between. There is so much to do by completing jobs from the task list and by other means - you never know some special blub just might pop through the door. The style of game play is unique - here is a little taster of what's to come - Milk Well - is there a cow stuck? You can clearly see a lot love and imagination has been put into this game to keep you entertained. Riley Gray has been working on this awesome game for over 5 years on his own and is always open to feedback/suggestions and is overwhelmed by the support on discord, twitter and twitch streams each one of us has given. I was blown away by the menu. There is so many pages of options to customise your game. I absoultely love the music in the game - awesome work Jordan Clark and the soundtrack (12 tracks) is available to buy on steam. There is a lot of key pressing in this game so if your hands get tired you can play the game with the controller too. The story slowly unfolds by reading humorous letters from the mail box on the farm. Some letters can be harsh as your shop is rated throughout your game play - the good and bad giving suggestions for improvement. You have the freedom to decorate the shop, farm and factory in any way you wish - let your imagination run riot. Buy that special item for you to control day and night cycles - the shop looks cosy at night. I like the fact that each item has a mini description but you are left to figure out how things work on the farm and in the factory so there will be a lot of brain scratching involved. Riley Gray updates on steam, twitter, Youtube and discord the progress of the game regularly - especially pixel art of new items which makes me excited for future updates. I totally love this cute chill out game and recommend it as there is a bit of everything for everyone. The game is grindy but the rewards are great. The freedom of decorating and being able to make your own products to sell in your shop to get rich is so satisfying. It is a game that has replay value and is worth every penny. I do not have any negatives about the game but only one suggestion - the blub with the question mark above its head to have a voice when you interact with it, that's all. Keep up the good work Riley.
This is an odd one, and I mean that in a good way. I love this game and it needs more attention than it's gotten. Squish together farming, factory games, shopkeeping and add a sprinkle of cute and you get Blub Emporium. There are some strange design choices that I question (like gating a basic, efficient wiring component behind level 40, which takes multiple hours to get to), but overall it's a good chill time. I'm not so good at the factory designing part, but the game has design examples in its built-in encyclopedia which are useful for the more complicated set-ups. Speaking of which, the encyclopedia is really well designed -- it links up to a relevant entry depending on what you're doing in-game, and has an entry for every single item in the game. And even if you don't care for Factorio-style gameplay, there are multiple goods you can sell in their raw form without even having to touch the factory (like fruit that you grow on your farm). It's fun just to watch the blubs blub around your emporium, buying what you've got stocked. It's also fun to decorate your shop with the plethora of wallpapers, windows, flooring, etc. Recommended if you like niche management games and don't mind a bit of grind/some micro-management.
Boys lemme get straight to it, this game is very relaxing and addictive, but i suggest taking your time through progression and not rushing anything, awesome game and awesome devs, will defo be playing this whenever i just wanna sit back and relax with some of that nice calming music. 100/10
90 hours in, and I'm still discovering new things to enjoy about this adorable game! There's so much to discover, and I'm still not even 75% of the way through. Two HUGE thumbs up for playability; this game will keep you engaged for hours. It's great to pick up anytime, and can be played both casually and seriously. There are so many puzzles that you'll have the opportunity to solve, and even more secrets that need to be discovered. While there are lots of puzzles, they are NOT required to play the game. Solving them only allows for more cute items to be unlocked, so you can choose more items to stock in your emporium. THE EMPORIUM This section allows you to be really creative in your design and decorate your shop! There are countless colorful options for floors, walls, decorations and more. You start off with selling rubber ducks, and can progress to selling well over 20 unique items that you make in your factory. You have tasks and missions that you are able to complete while blubs shop and you keep your shelves stocked, though they are not a requirement if you'd like to play without them. Though, I definitely recommend doing them at your own pace to unlock lots of unique items for your blubs! THE FARM This is where your raw materials will spawn! The goal here is to stock up on resources (and to discover new ones) so that you can use those to create items in the factory to then sell to blubs. You can also decorate your farm with different items, as well as customizing the terrain! You can change the type of ground to fit your designs, so the initial random layout isn't permanent. THE FACTORY This is where the magic happens! Here, you connect item hoppers and processors in endless layouts to create the different items to sell in your emporium. Remember to keep everything powered by connecting wires to each of your machines, otherwise, your factory won't process your items! No layout is the "right" layout; try thinking of new ways to make items as you progress. Some items become more complex and require several inputs to create one product, so timing is everything. When purchasing processors from the catalogue, the items you need are listed in order that they need to process correctly, so keep that in mind! Final thoughts? This is a super cute game with so many features and a fantastic developer who regularly talks with their community for feedback. If you like cute simulators or puzzles, you should be playing this already!
My Personal Game Score: 8.5 / 10 -Colorful world of blubs -Enjoyable to play -Nice Mini-Games -Lots of unique items -Great game art and designs. -For Building and management game lovers -
Blub Emporium harbors the features of a mind-numbing clicker game, and yet infuses it with enough strategy, excitement and aesthetic to turn a once brainless formula into the most engaging and addicting game of its genre.
it's alright. it's cute. i'm a little hooked so far.
I've been really enjoying this game. It's really simple and soothing. Some task might be a bit repetitive, but I kinda like how mindless the game is. Plus there's a lot of creative freedom in designing how you want the emporium to be. Definitely recommend!
When I first installed this game I didn't know what to expect. But after amassing many hours playing Blub Emporium my impressions surrounding the game have been exquisite. My self being quite the completionist type, this game has made a profound statement on me particularly with its vast progression system that allows for the player to explore many venues of your own choosing. Complemented with that added spice of rare collectables that you can only claim from wheel drops this game for sure will have your dopamine receptors pumping without a doubt. The many layers of fun and intriguing game play has made a resounding effect on my gaming experience and I couldn't recommend this game more to those of you who enjoy a chill and thought provoking game to get addicted to this year.
