it's alright. it's cute. i'm a little hooked so far.
a delightful and adorable little mix of farming, automation, and interior decoration that is full of character and humour. i love how it never really feels like you have nothing to do, and there is always something to work on and improve on. this game is incredibly endearing, very very fun, and genuinely some of the most fun ive had playing a game in a while. everyone should play it :)
I've only played about ~3 hours into this game, but here is my take so far: I saw this on a wholesome indie games showcase video on YouTube, and I immediately wanted to check it out. The cute style along with the management play-style seemed to make for a fun game to play when you want to unwind and relax. I have to say that so far, I'm enjoying the game! I really like management games like this, since they're easy to get engrossed with to pass the time and attend to little tasks. It's a very chill-paced game, since sometimes you're left waiting around for money to build up. I personally like games like that, so I think if you're looking for a cute management simulator, I would definitely recommend. According to the trailer, there are hints of a story, but I haven't gotten far enough yet. However, I do think at this early stage, it is a bit shallow...things get repetitive fast and there's not much more depth to what's presented. It's managing and decorating a shop, farming resources, and then overseeing factory (which I feel doesn't really take up as much time as the other two, although it's a fun puzzle game trying to figure out the best way to rearrange thing! Overall, I'm enjoying this game for what it is. I hope to see more come out of it, and I think it's very lovely! Pros -CUTENESS OVERLOAD. This game is so adorable. I love the Blubs. Please keep adding more cute accessories to for them to wear. I literally can't get enough of them -Decorating shop is very fun, there are so many options -Managing shop is fun, having to stock up on things and collect them -The three aspects of farming, managing store, and managing factory are blended really well together Cons -A little shallow as is, hoping the developers expand on what they have -The "press to hold" activation gimmick takes some time getting used to, and sometimes gets more frustrating than fun -Wish there an options menu you could toggle instead of having to go to the Main Menu every time -I think the UI for the shop categories is a little confusing Some suggestions: -Add more of an interactivity to customer blubs -Add more interactivity to items in shop...like food stalls that you can have customer blubs eat from and stock up from farmed resources -Make the story a little bit more involved from the beginning and with the gameplay -Maybe add more management aspects to the factory portion? Like having worker blubs -Let us customize the employee blubs in our emporium -Please continue adding cute hats and accessories to the customer blubs, I'm begging you Final Score: 8/10
Very enjoyable would recommend
visually pleasing and satisfying progress, one of my favourite aspects of this game is the polite and wholesome mood that the game sustains. The cute hats and cosmetics, the innocent blub smiles, the art style - all constitute an amazing and well polished game. This is a great game to set a relaxing and joyful mood for the night.
I enjoy Blub Emporium as it can be very fun and relaxing but also challenging at times. You can manage your own emporium and sell many different items that you either harvest from the farm or create through the factory, which can be a challenge due to certain resources needing to be sent through the processors at the correct times, but the fun comes from learning how to manage the factory and create each item. There are also many different items for decorating your emporium that range from floors to walls, to tables and chairs and many other items. You can progress through the game at your own pace and unlock new resources and items as you level up. I would recommend the game if you want to manage your own store and eventually automate the entire process of getting resources from the farm to the emporium and watching it all grow :D
It's best to think of this game as a slow burn. If you're hoping to rush ahead to the end game items you're going to have a bad time. There's store management and design, resource collection, light farming and a bit of puzzle solving in the factory. There is automation but it can take awhile to get to it so I understand why some players find the constant clicking to refill shelves or gather materials tedious. This game isn't perfect but I'm finding it a great time waster with a mix of mindless collection when I want it and management / puzzle solving when I'm in the mood to pay more attention. 7/10
This is actually quite fun
It's a fun game for sitting down and playing for a couple hours. It's got plenty of hours of game to play through.
Wonderful game with a lot of heart and character. It's simple yet thoroughly executed, lending to a relaxed yet highly immersive atmosphere. I played mostly during the beta, but I sunk many more hours then I intended to in any sitting due to the way the game pulls you in. Would strongly recommend to anyone looking for an untaxing and undraining, yet cohesive and involving experience.
