Upgrades are boring and don't synergize with anything. Weapons are boring, zero creativity went into them. One gun, two guns, fast gun, shotgun, another shotgun... And a bunch of melee weapons that are useless compared to long range. The prices for upgrades are insanely expensive. You play a half hour round only to afford two consumables that are so weak they barely help. No reason to use more than one weapon. The slot mechanic is unskippable, and it takes like 10 seconds, it feels like 100, why the hell did they make it unskippable?? Voice acting sucks. The rounds are too long and boring, if you don't have heal you're screwed, heal packs are so rare you may have to spend over half the round looking for them, only to find a few. It's anti fun. The game has potential though, but the developer should hire a consultant to help out with game mechanics, just a few tweaks would make the game much more enjoyable.
Decent game for what it is. If you're looking for depth, look elsewhere. The gameplay is fun for a while but grows stale after a few hours. The character dialogue, repetition, and lack of variety are what killed this for me overall.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Would love to play this game, but as soon as I get into it, my graphic card goes ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, tuning my fans to "instant liftoff"... not gonna risk my hardware, big nope.
OSRC #005 🔎Was bin ich ? 🔎Was biete ich ?
TLDR: Avoid. Hollow and tediously boring gameplay loop with horrible balanced in-game meta economy that's shallower than the tub water when you shower. Not worth your money or time. If you enjoy boomer shooters and want a small dabble of survivors-like elements, then you'll enjoy this game. If you enjoy survivors-like or actual, proper rogue like (or rogue lite) then you won't like this game. The game is incredibly shallow and you'll find yourself bored within the hour. That said, I came into this expecting a proper survivors-like, bullet heaven, roguelikes, or roguelite game and was left disappointed after the first couple missions and extremely bored. The devs don't even use the right game tags for this. The game description has 'roguelite' and the store tag has 'roguelike' and yes there's a difference even though many of us (myself included) often use them interchangeably. However, in a game like this where you're interested in trying a fusion of various genre elements or mechanics, it matters a tad more in my opinion. In each run (mission) you can collect gems that will persist regardless if you win or lose. You'll then use those for meta upgrades such as increased dmg or armor or to unlock other characters. One unique and cool thing you can do with gems is buy a revive. It's obscenely expensive, but it's an item that carries through multiple missions until you use it. I think it adds some good weight to the gameplay and whether or not you want to invest in the obscene cost of it. The games meta and unlock with gem economy is pure garbage. In the first mission I got about 30 gems in a 5 minute mission, understandable. The next mission was 20 minutes and I got around 400 or so. Okay, so I weighed unlocking another character or doing a meta upgrade for a very specific item that doesn't apply to every character. Hm, okay. Well, the 3rd mission is 30 minutes but at this point I couldn't bother to commit to 30 minutes for one mission because it was so tediously boring and with minimal rewards to boot. I just don't like this game. The only roguelite elements is obscenely expensive upgrades at costs that don't respect your time. There seem to be more meta upgrades you can unlock the more you play along with additional characters and weapons and in-mission only unlocks. But it's all ruined by the utterly boring gameplay. The game defaults to auto-shoot (as is normal in top down survivors likes) so you can focus on movement, kiting, and dodging projectiles. But honestly that just exacerbated the boredom even more because avoiding damage and kiting enemies is incredibly easy. So, I tried manual shooting. More boredom. There's no weight to your punches unless you invest in upgrades. And only invest in one weapon despite having an arsenal of options. I'm very disappointed I didn't like this more and surprised at how many reviews are positive. That was until I noticed how many of the positive reviews have very little playtime overall. It's a very short game. Perhaps that is why the devs made the gameplay loop so tedious and rewards so scarce. It's too bad I spent more time and thought into this review than the devs did in creating a proper gameplay loop that is fun, worth your time, and worth $13. I'm thankful I got it for $4 and I'd refund it if I didn't wait to play it.
Sadly, I have to give this a thumbs down at this point. It is amusing at first but having a half hour long run as second level was an odd choice. I have tried it several time and even with a few (way too expensive) upgrades, it is not possible. This is not FUN any more repeating the same level half a dozen times.
Bloodshed is a fun mix of DOOM and Vampire Survivors. Each run has you mowing down endless hordes of cultists, undead, and demons while leveling up and building your character. The game starts off quite challenging, but that difficulty quickly disappears. Once you unlock the regeneration/healing skill, it becomes almost impossible to die. From that point on, most runs feel trivial as long as you keep moving and healing. The biggest downside is the lack of content. After unlocking most characters and upgrades, the gameplay becomes repetitive, and the builds aren't distinct enough to keep things interesting. 5/10 The concept is great, but the progression and balance need much more work. Once you unlock the right upgrades, the game loses nearly all of its challenge, making the rest of the experience far less satisfying.
Coming back to this game after my first playthrough (near 100%) a while back, I'm noticing a common gripe within the reviews is the limited amount of content and short overall playtime. I do fully agree that if the devs gave this game a longer release cycle and filled it with more of the same (new characters, weapons, maps), this game could've been something even more special. But for what it is, a cool mesh of boomer shooter and survivor game, they really nail it, and there's few other games on the market that mesh those genres - none of which do it as well as this game. In my recollection, I never felt any feelings of "that's unfair, they need to rework that". Sure, there's runs where you continuously end up getting terrible upgrade selections, but that's the reality of roguelikes/lites. But overall, the design, graphics, and sway between "oh man I'm underpowered and need to catch up on upgrades" to "I don't know if it's even possible for me to lose this run anymore" that I find to be a hallmark of survivor games is all there and done well. To go back to my original point about the length: If you consider the price tag, the $13 they're charging feels fair, not great. Get it on sale, have a blast for some hours bingeing it, scrap out a few more hours going for completion if you like, and maybe come back to do it all over again sometime later. And btw, it goes on sale frequently for $3-4, not even factoring in the bundle discounts that this game has plenty of.
every enemy is just stolen from old games, and the casino thing really breaks the flow. otherwise not bad.
