Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Improved on virtually everything done in number 1.
Played more of this on my Switch (particularly the Metafight Chronicle version with voice acting) and I have to say - this is, in my opinion, the best Blaster Master game bar none. Even though I feel like Zero 3's got better combat, Zero 2 just feels amazing to play for me (leaps and bounds above any of the other Blaster Master games before it in terms of movement and combat) and the map design is fantastic. The only things that might be a turn-off are the difficulty (much more challenging than Zero 1 but still on the easier side and area maps still spoil the dungeon layouts) and the fact that the game uses a world map to travel between planets and planetoids instead of having interconnected areas like most of the other games (even then, the areas themselves have a ton of room for exploration).
To preface this, I recommend the game, I just don't recommend this specific version. To get my actual review of the game out of the way: Pros: -The game is much more balanced than the first game, particularly the top-down segments. -The bosses are also more reasonably difficult throughout the game. -The new shortcut system makes the flow of the game better since you'll be manually switching weapons less often. -I find myself enjoying this story a bit more than the first game. -
Area Omega giving access to an entirely different character and MA as opposed to a stronger SOPHIA makes for a far more interesting endgame.
Cons: -In order to balance the game, the top-down sections can feel a lot less fun than in the first game, as despite the improvements to difficulty, I think the G-Rifle's Gun Levels feel really bad to use in comparison to the selection in both the last game and especially the third one. The Wide Blaster (Gun Level 8) feels like the only Gun Level that works well, in comparison to the first game, wherein Wave (Gun Level 8) was strong, but the other Gun Levels (namely Reflect, Striker, and sometimes Flame, with the others seeing occasional use but overall being outclassed) could absolutely hold their own a lot more than it feels like these can. However, the Steam version doesn't seem to work properly in comparison to the original Switch version. The main new mechanic added to this game is the "Blast Counter", which allows you to counter enemy attacks in the top-down sections at the cost of CP. CP regenerates rather slowly on it's own, encouraging you to use your main weapon, as hitting enemies with it causes you to regenerate CP much faster, with higher Gun Levels leading to higher CP gain. At least, that's how it should work, as shown in the Switch version (there also is optional dialogue ( https://youtu.be/f8gbbE8MSJg?t=4446 ) indicating this). However, the only Gun Level that restores CP in this version of the game is Gun Level 5 - Absorber. All others do nothing to restore CP, which can lead to it occasionally feeling like a more scarce resource than it's actually supposed to be. It doesn't break the game, it's still more than possible to beat, it can just lead to an overall worse experience than I believe was intended.
A sequel to the remake of the original NES Blaster Master, Blaster Master Zero 2 continues to be faithful to the original while introducing some new mechanics and a more ironed story. An improvement in every way, if you liked the first one, you will like this one as well.
