Black Mesa was a great introduction to the Half Life series. It looks great, plays well, and has that Valve atmosphere I was hoping for. Looking forward to trying the original! A few sections dragged on a little, but overall I had a really great time with it. Playing this first made going into Half Life 2 even more exciting, and after finishing both, it’s easy to see why the series became the blueprint for so many games after. 9/10 ⭐

I loved Black Mesa. It's so true to the spirit of the original "Half Life" while still enhancing it greatly to the full extent possible by the Source engine and the Community Workshop. Many parts of the original game are made much better by the increased fidelity, for example how the infestation slowly builds up in Black Mesa (the facility) and the rework for Xen.
Probably one of the best old storyline games out there. Would highly recommed it if you want a good and long playtrough and an upfollowing game. 10/10
Un gran remake, sobre todo en la parte final, de Xen. El Xen de Half-Life original parece como si estuviese hecho de carne comprimida, y es un planeta feo y una parte bastante poco agradable, no solo de ver, si no de jugar, en el juego original, además de que es mucho más corta. En este remake, se respeta todo el diseño de niveles de HL de Valve, lo que hace que la experiencia sea igual de buena, mejora los gráficos, y mejora muchísimo Xen, pero como Xen es algo nuevo, y no hay ningún diseño de nivel original que respetar, se nota que ese apartado flaquea un poco. Pero pongo pegas por poner, el juego es buenísimo y sirve para todos aquellos que quieran jugar a Half-Life pero que no se atreven por los gráficos de la época.
