Such a great game. I love how it teaches you through gameplay, and even on the earlier, more-linear levels, there are areas you can choose to explore or not, and alternate routes to achieve the goal. Just as you think you're settling in, something major happens and the location, atmosphere or gameplay changes. There are some fantastic set-pieces and some great bosses, and between these there is plenty of time to explore and parkour your way through the facility. The graphics look a little dated by modern standards, but the game is so immersive I didn't really notice. There is plenty of suspense, but the game never becomes stressful. The story isn't complex, but the pacing is great.

No easy difficulty mode. Terrain glitches that cause stuck and invisible obstacles/corners. Many poorly executed timed events (bugs/bad timing). Meh, original was way better.

I am not a big fun of puzzle games, and i haven't played original half-life so this review is not based on nostalgia but the things i truly feel. Game consists of chapters, which i like. And there are some cool weapons you can use. If i would describe this game, i would say Metro 2033 with puzzles. Whenever i wanted to quit, the game kept hooking me into itself. The story is so deep, i found a 3 hours YouTube documentary just for the Gman.‎ I wasn't expecting Xen to be my favorite part, but it completely won me over. Amazing remake from start to finish. (except the lambda core chapter it completely killed the fun) 8/10 It is just 2 bucks on sale, i recommend trying it

К концу превращается в душный симулятор паркура и ходьбы, но ради первой половины игры оно того стоит
